This father is getting mighty old.

I'll start with this: For what this should have been and could have been it's a disappointment.

now here's my unedited diarrhea of text mini review:

i'm fairly disappointed with this title, in large part because if it’s title. it's nothing special, just a decent shooter but by no means an award winner... the standard guns are the same boring ones in every other ww2 game, there are a few scifi ones but they are too similar to other games, shooting doesn't feel as good as it does is some other top shooters, the story and voice acting is pretty sub par as I could barely stay interested. the boss fights are pretty old school as its just like a normal mob but much stronger with a couple small tricks to kill them, easily found with the vail. you also at times will find yourself stuck in vail for long, long periods of time if you can continue to refuel it, which makes your screen green and is kind of cheezy imo, not only that but it can make your frame rate drop if your system is lacking. over all it feels like it should have come out 2-3 years ago as today’s top shooters *and there’s allot of them* all seem better. I will give props to the blood and gore though, limbs, blood, and faces turning into pizza isn't something you see all to often in shooters even if it looks aged.

    pros:

    -blood, gore

-shooting the weapons doesn't feel that bad, not really a pro but it could be far worse.

-the underground vibe you get from other characters *which could be much deeper imo though*

-some of the maps looks decent, but they're very linear and once again feel 2005ish.

-it does incorporate most all the FPS elements but it’s just so average and especially for a wolf title that it just doesn’t feel good enough.

    cons:

    -old gfx

    -bad AI

-guns are kinda bleh for the title at hand

    -story is cheeeeeeeeeez

-voice acting from main dude is horrendous

    -nazi's again... yes again..

-it starts out normal and then theres scifi stuff, man that’s not original at all.

-load screen all the time for different areas

-the vail is crap imo, the entire powers thing is kinda out there in this game.

-when you’re trying to take cover in door ways *there's alot of them* the doors auto close after you open them so it screws you especially if your on a harder difficulty where cover is necessary

-the underground rebel group of people that you work with have nice environments and tons of potential but turns out to be extremely shallow.

-the chapter progression is out dated as well, basically go to town they tell you to do something unoriginal, then go back to town and they tell you to do something again, and again, and again.

overall if you play a ton of shooters or have other games calling to your attention then i'd think you'd be disappointed with the final game here especially considering what they had to work with. if you haven't played a shooter for a while you'll probably get some kicks out of it while it lasts even though it can't stand up to the current top FPS games out there atm.

Bloody, fun, good old fashioned nazi disintegrating goodness. 0

Most gamers no doubt remember the granddaddy of first person shooters, Wolfenstein 3D. Although it was wildly successful, it was somewhat overshadowed by Doom's following success and most people often mistake the creepy tale of the lone space marine as the one that started it all. Then came the sequel, Return To Castle Wolfenstein. It not only offered a fantastic campaign with very satisfying gameplay and intelligent AI that really presented a challenge, but soon arrived a unique multi-player mod...

Far from memorable, but good nonetheless 0

Wolfenstein is a first person shooter developed by a collaboration of Raven Software, id Software, Pi Studios, and Endrant Studios. It is based in World War II Germany, but thanks to bizarre gameplay mechanics and story twists, the game is much more unique than just another WWII shooter. The Wolfenstein franchise is somewhat of a cornerstone for the FPS genre. My experience with the franchise prior to starting up this game consisted only ofReturn To Castle Wolfenstein, which is a game I played a...
