    Overview

International Karate is an early fighting game that appeared on the Commodore 64 and other platforms. The game supports single-player and a two-player versus mode. Rather than winning matches by knock out, the game scores half-points and points to the fighters based on their strikes, mimicking an organized karate competition. The game was one of the first Commodore 64 titles released on the Wii Virtual Console.

Epyx released the game in the United States as World Karate Championship. A hack version of the game with different backgrounds but identical gameplay was released as "International Karate 2."
