I think he means can he download original Xbox games to his HD so the disc doesn't spin.
As for the answer I got no idea, but I doubt it.

If you mean install original xbox games off the disc, I really don't know for sure but I'm going to say I doubt it.

You might, because it does show up on your gamertag when you look at games played (most recent update) and it's just really a background thing, although since Xbox games run 1000x quieter than 360 games, there may not be a point to doing so.

I agree. You either buy the game in Market Place or try to get your own hard disc copy. Some xbox games don't run on 360 though. I think the ones sold in market place are the only ones that can be played on 360.

I doubt it. There will most likely be some software incompatibility.

I'm interested to see how much installing the game improves the load times.

I don't think I will be installing any of my games. It would take up too much space. The good thing about it would be it would(or might) reduce the possibility of modding a 360 to play a backup 360 game. If your disc has a deep scratch, but you have it installed, you won't need the disc.

i don't know. although to be honest i can't see myself installing anything. i don't care about slightly faster load times and furthermore in multiplayer the match only begins when everyone has loaded it so what's the point??

Question is why would you want to do it? You still need to use the disc and original xbox games takes use of the HDD and the 360 is pretty quiet when running them, if you really want xbox games on your HDD just dowload the xbox originals.

Good point. I was thinking if they allowed it, I would do it to Lost Odyssey because of the loading times, but if you still need the disc, there isn't a point in doing it.

And there's 4 discs for lost odyssey ( correct me if I'm wrong ),  wouldn't you have to upload all four of them to the HDD?

Yeah, there's 4 discs, but I don't think you would have to upload all 4, just the one you are playing.

It might seem like that, but if the loading times are reduced(which apparently it won't be), then it will be worth it. IMO

It amazes me that they let Lost Odyssey (not insulting it just listen for a second) have 4 discs for their system(obviously JRPG's have their audience, but it isn't for everyone by far) yet they may not allow RAGE and Doom4 from John fucking Carmack have multiple discs....

I never heard of that rule, but I would understand why you would say that, since the whole RAGE thing.

Maybe MS doesn't want to restrict the JRPG devs so they can try and get more Japanese to get a 360.

I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to.  All the save to hard drive feature is doing is ripping the entire disc to the hard drive so I would expect that it could do that with Xbox games too.

I might do it for Lost Odyssey because of the loads times or GTA because the disc is reading all the time.
I'd have to get a 120GB HDD or something, or maybe the 60GB because I only have 12GB left... so maybe I can fit a game or two.
