I cannot say no to that new xbox, it has all the things i want out of that system it didn't have before, Built in wifi, smaller size, quieter, and a good size hardrive. Anyone else finally persuaded to buy an Xbox, even if you never wanted one before?

The WiFi and larger hard drive make it a sale for me.

I wouldn't mind buying the rumored 360 if mine dies now.  I was just going to let it die if it did and become NINTENDO DS exclusive.

Hell yea I'm picking that up. I went through about 3 xboxs last year and said the hell with them and stuck with my ps3 until I've been itching to pick one up for the past few months. Now I am happy that I waited cause yea, I like the look of it and just hope they still include forza and halo odst as the free games.

I want one but I think ill wait and see how reliable the hardware turns out to be. Hopefully they finally figured out how to fix the older 360 issues.

I'm still not convinced it will perform better than the current one. I've been waiting 4 years, I guess I can wait another 6 months just to be sure.

I need to see some testing done. Is it lighter, quieter, faster? Does it use the same hard drive? I need to see some specs before I even touch my wallet.

Ha same here :) About 6 months ago I went to a PS3 slim after my 4th 360 crapped out on me, but goddamn I want one of those new models :) If its as quiet as they say then its an insta-buy along with Crackdown 2 and an extended 2 year store warranty (I want to trust you Microsoft, I do, but I've been burned before :)

Im sure since Giant Bomb is getting at least one new xbox for free we will see a nice unboxing video of it. 

I got two 360's so I'll probably just sell one and get one hopefully cheaper.

You could still lay it down on its side, but it won't be flat. It looks like they made it like that so they could add more vents, and not have them covered when put on its side. Smart idea. "

The thing is, after a quick look at the images of it, i didn't notice any pads on the side that indicate it can be laid flat. Granted i haven't seen any clear images yet. "

Yeah, all the improvements make me want to run out and buy one as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I already own a 360 but the warranty is out. So if and when it inevitably craps out, I'll head out and buy a new one.

I still think it's too expensive. It should definitely not be the same price as a PS3.

Looks like i'm finally going to get one. It now contains everything that i wanted.

That's only because Microsoft have been ripping people off for years. A wi-fi adapter doesn't actually cost $100. I think they could have easily made the price more competitive to make the 360 an obvious choice over the PS3, since the lack of Blu-ray gives them a lot of leeway to lower the price, since the inclusion of a wi-fi adapter that they've been selling at an outrageous price doesn't add much to the cost of manufacture.

Belive it or not I don't have one yet. I only have a ps3, however xbox360 is like a low range pc, 720p and a controller and it might rrod. I'm sort of worried about that, that's why I didn't buy it yet. There were times I was tempted to get one.

They don't price their consoles and assessories based on how much it costs to make, they price them competitive to whats avaliable in the market and price points they know people are willing to pay. Of course a wifi adapter isn't worth 100$, or consoles worth 300, but they know what people are willing to spend to get these thing. The xbox's answer to no blurray player was streaming HD movies. I think this new version of the 360 is actually good value when compared to what they sell now.

It's definitely good value compared to what they sell now, I agree. I just don't see how it's competitive with the PS3, but I guess I'm just jaded and stingy. 

I'm one of those that think people should own all platforms, cost willing.  If you want the games you gotta own em all.
 
Anyways, as a 360 owner I thinking of trading in my current 360 and backup 360 for a new model, if the new model truly is more quiet.  360 is a noisy annoying beast, if they fix that it'll be cool.

Has the price been released? All I read from the GiantBomb live blog said that it was the same price as a normal 360 but since there are 3 versions of a 'normal 360' I am confused haha. Same price as a Pro or an Elite? I'm going to go ahead and assume it's more expensive than an Arcade :P

i already own 2 xboxes but i want this one! Can't turn down that internal wifi and 250 gigger.
