I have an unopened copy of Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii. I was swept into the hype of this game a few years ago and bought it on a whim. However, school and work kept me very busy and I eventually forgot about it over time.

Now the value of this game has skyrocketed. I don't intend on selling it, but cracking open something I know is worth upwards of 100 dollars is something that doesn't come easy.

When the 3ds version was announced I was a little excited. Although I don't have a new 3ds yet, I know I'll buy one in the near future. But early impressions of the game seem to state that the Wii version is the definitive way to play.

So what to do? Buy the same game again or open this valuable original?

Play it, if you don't have the n3DS already, the Wii version is a better deal. This is a game you should keep for your collection and never feel bad for opening.

I think if you want to play it, then play it, especially if you don't intend to sell it anyway.

Just open it and play it dude. Chances are Nintendo will eventually release this as a digital download on a future system and unopened valuable game will plummet in value anyway.

I bought this game for 70 bucks and ended up never playing it and giving it to a friend in SF for free. Play the game man, life is too short.
