Overview

Yeta and her husband Yeto are the only two known members of the Yeti race known to exist in Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The two reside in Snowpeak Ruins up in the mountains. One day, Yeta found a shard of the Mirror of Twilight and became increasingly obsessed with it. The negative energy emanating from it started to make her ill. Worried about her health, Yeto set out to make soup for her using a Reekfish. When Link met her and told her about his quest to collect the Mirror shards, she asked him to go get her bedroom key so that she could go retrieve the shard she found. However, she mistakenly told Link to seek the chests that just contained Ordon pumpkin and Ordon goat cheese. This turned out useful in the end as those ingredients could be used to make a superb soup. When the soup was completed and given to Yeta, she had enough strength to go retrieve the Mirror shard for Link. Upon staring into the Mirror, however, she became possessed and transformed into a terrible ice monster named Blizzeta. Yeta was returned back to normal when Link defeated her monstrous form, and Yeto charged into the room to embrace her. He then told her that she did not need the mirror as she was beautiful already.

In a mini-game, Yeto and Yeta can be found at the top of Snowpeak and can challenge Link to a race down the mountain to their home. The race takes place on a snowy, downhill path, and Link uses a large chunk of ice as a makeshift snowboard. Yeta is much smaller than her husband (whose size could be a bit of a hindrance) and is therefore much more agile. She also deviates from the typical track so it makes the race more difficult. If Link is able to win against the the both of them, he is rewarded a Heart Piece.
