If you take the time will obsess over. Best game ever made.
Okay let me prefix this by saying I love tactical rpgs, fire emblem, final fantasy tactics, tactics ogre but this one felt too gimmicky for me with the addition of card mechanics thrown in and the way the battle system is set up was super confusing at first. But if you take the time to understand the mechanics of every card, every item, how to find newer items, how to steal, and using the terrain to your advantage then you will love this game, it reminds me a lot of final fantasy tactics on steroids, it's that crazy....in a good way. At first the learning curve takes some getting used to and since it is a game where you decide your characters stance per second it does require your complete attention span, so if you plan on playing while being out with friends or splitting your attention between the game and say a show then don't even pick it up because not giving it your full attention will cause you to lose some battles. If you've been bored with games like fire emblem or found them too easy, like I did then again I did spend 70+ hours invested in fire emblem 2 so I can be a bit obsessive at times.....(lol...that was sarcasm for those of you who didn't get it) I mean especially since games in this genre have sort of slowed down it can be hard to find a new favorite turn based strategy based rpg other then the fire emblem series. Definitely give this game a shot and when I say give it a shot at least play till episode 8 and everything you put into will pay you back in spades believe me, all time favorite game and I've been playing games since the Atari era so just putting that out there. Ps: Do not, I repeat do not play the ds version it will only confuse you even more, try the GBA version first then if you want a bit of a harder play through try the psp version but just skip the ds version the mechanics are changed up so all the charm of the original game was sadly lost.
