    Ankama is a game company based in France that is devoted to the MMO genre. It has released games like Dofus, Dofus-Arena and is currently developing a new MMORPG called Wakfu.

    Founded in 2001, Ankama Games specialises in developing MMORPGs for the PC. Their upcoming game, Wakfu, is currently in beta, and is expected to be released at the end of April 2011. It even has its own anime series which will be translated in English. An XBLA spin-off was also released in April called Islands of Wakfu. It's an adventure game which will integrate into Wakfu by unlocking quests in the MMO when the player achieves certain tasks in the game.
