It's a little ridiculous how much of a dick Kratos is, but that makes it all the more funny seriously some of the parts in that game had me laughing out loud such as when Hermes is talking to Kratos about his past mistakes and Kratos keeps looking at his feet....

I never played GoW 1 or 2 either. And when I completed this game, my conclusion was that Kratos is every bit a villain as the Greek Pantheon - albeit, he really served no purpose until the very end in my opinion.
 
I mean, a cold blooded murderer is a murderer, regardless of motivation. I don't even understand how people can consider him an antihero.
