The only JRPG anyone ever needs to play apart from Persona is Resonance of Fate. That dub is special, and the trigonometry based combat along with the pipedreams weapon upgrade system is *chefs kiss*
I wrote this elsewhere but if you’re a Silent Hill fan in 2022 and still feel like you’re getting jerked around emotionally by Konami then that’s allllll on you. There have been no good Silent Hill games in 20 years and Konami has done nothing to make anyone have even a molecule of confidence in their ability to deliver a quality product in the gaming market, much less a proper Silent Hill follow up that fans would actually be happy with.
This is the first ever 8-4 podcast I listened to because I was curious about the Elden Ring talk. I agree with Mark though.. I don't believe you can organically finish the Rannie quest without looking it up, I too.. am looking askew at Gabe.
I've heard this game is being very actively patched by the developer and a lot of major things are getting changed to make it a bit more fun so maybe this is a good one to put on the back burner and wait a bit before diving in because it does feel a bit off at the moment.
The topic of the video perfectly encapsulates why after decades I’ve finally given up on having a normal discussion with people online. I used to go to great lengths to make sure I’m not stepping on any toes and that I’m not forcing my points or view on anyone when discussing games and honestly most of the time all that you get is someone still disregarding everything you wrote to reply with “naw it sucks” or something similar. People really don’t want to have a conversation they just want to prove to you that you’re wrong and they’re right. Have meaningful conversations with people you know, everyone else, don’t waste your time.
I know it's cool to hate on Elon and Teslas but Jess's comments about the car jump were way off. That car was not broken into a bunch of pieces for a jump that huge, and if those people were in any other car they probably would have been dead. A normal car has the engine in the front which would have weighed down the nose so much they would have flipped end over end in a horrific crash. "Tesla sucks" but I doubt that car full of idiots would have been able to run away that fast in anything else.
Ultimately the whole thing is a "people are dumb" problem not a "Tesla" problem. There just happened to be a Tesla involved in dumb people doing dumb things.
Also Elon Musk aside I think the cars seem really cool I'm not sure why people hate on the tech which is genuinely pretty impressive.
The premium video appears to not be working for me, but then I found out the Free Video actually has chapters which the Premium one doesn't since it's in the proprietary player.
