I'm very much with Jeff on this one and think everything apart from the tech storyline and reveal was fairly weak and uninteresting. I would go as far as to say that the grand reveal of what happened was also handled very poorly and for all the mystery was a very clumsy info dump led by stiff holograms. I think I was mainly rooting for Guerilla because they were bogged down with Killzone for so many years that it was really nice to see them come up with this incredibly colorful and unique world. That said the game had it's fair share of problems, some of which are just personal nitpicks and some which obviously stemmed from a studio making a third person open world game for the first time. Forbidden West to be incredibly reductive looks like more of the same so I'm ok with waiting a while. The fact that I don't own a PS5 nor will I be able to easily purchase one in the coming months doesn't help either.
@panfoot: Infinite is a really solid 3/5 shooter that doesn’t really do anything new and has a ton of issues weighing down the experience. If you’re the type that can literally block out 3/4 of the game and just enjoy the mindless act of shooting baddies then I can understand how it would rate much higher.
Shadow Man occupies a special place in my childhood and I hear the remaster by Nightdive is a really solid job, not only bringing the game up to 4K but actually restoring some levels and enemies that were scrapped from the original release.
Looper is also a really fun movie y'all are crazy.
