Great blog!

Since the announcement of AC6 and coming out of Elden Ring I have been wondering of if I should try it or not, but I am still not sure, since at least until now I knew very little about the series, outside the general concepts.

If you wish, I might recommend one day checking out Front Mission Evolved, which kind of bizarre game from a curious moment, which SE tried to make it a sort FPS with both in mech and out of mech sections, a weird plot that tried to be more "realistic" but somehow end look like bootleg gundam (serious, they have even a dude in a mask kind like Char, superpowers like G Gundam and some giant orbital tower, like Seed), flat characters (one dude personality is literally is a Sun Tzu fanboy, another is larping as knight and a girl prays for Valkyries like it was thing).

Great blog!

Expedition Rome is a game for years I have it on my wishlist (maybe along with their some of their other expeditions games) and every sale I think about buying it, but never do...but maybe one day…

So, on the King Arthur game, I have played the King Arthur: The Roleplaying Wargame, so some stuff which you see on Knight Tale likely came from there, such as the grimdark aesthetic, moral compass... I recommend one day checking that game, it is not good... but think as a Total War: Warhammer I, before that game, but with more jank. Also it was a game from a short period where there was some Total War clones... well I say some, but more likely two, this one and XIII Century...

Great Blog!

One thing that it make me really curious, is if and how much of Midnight Suns might end in an eventual proper XCOM sequel...

I must know, did they ever "fix" the translation of Hollow Fragment?

yeah, It was fixed and might even changed in the Re: Hollow Fragment version (which was the one I played, but wasn't in the GB database), which is an improved/director cut version.

Solasta is a game that I found myself dancing around, because in one hand I all in for a crpg which allow me to build the party, but in the other, I already have Baldur's Gate III, so I find myself in a bit of "I already have this at home".

When I watched the stream, one thing that I was thinking about Realms of the Haunting is how that very initial part, where you are just exploring the house, looked kind cool for the time period, and maybe in another game could work better.

@fanaticalmilk: yeah, I saw it too and I was surprised, I guess someday I need to return and play more of the first game.

I was thinking about the streams of King's Quest you did and something hit me: somehow, Sierra tried to resurrect the franchise, but missed the point so hard that they almost by accident made new Quest for Glory, except without any humor, colors or anything. Because when you look, the heavy emphasis in combat, have very little do to with King's Quest, but it could work for a Quest for Glory and going 3D is something that I could see if they tried one more game.

On Siege of Dragonspear, I wonder how after so much time, many of the people which still plays or played the previous games, likely played a heavily modded version (think that one of the major mods was one that sort united both games, at least that the one I used when I last played), meaning that their saves would be incompatible (if you can transfer, but even recreating the character might be difficult), so before you start it, you might need a clean install and save to play and how this affect people trying the game.

Because at least for me that was what happened, well this and the fact at the time I was not much in a mood for this kind of game or to replay the older games.

Now on Battlespire, that was maybe the worst paper doll I ever saw, like the character model pose is strange, the clothes all appear off scale and off set...
