"Big" games? "Nothing to play?"

Uh... sure, I hate it when that happens

1. Gameplay

2. Story

3. General atmosphere

4. Controls

5. Accessibility (how much can I control how the game looks and plays with options)

graphics is the least important aspect I could think of

Horror/Fantasy movie called Jinn (2014). Most people hated it, I was pleasantly surprised and entertained by it. 6/10 imho.

Got a little tired of Skyrim, which I played for like 80 hours over the holidays. So I got Hollow Knight on GOG and absolutely love it. Also reinstalled Fallout 4.

Holy shit, Darklands. So, if my post of Planescape Torment isn't enough. Yes, I like reading in general. I generally make an effort to read lore and stuff, to try and get more into the game. In some games, that stuff is just boring or seems generic, and that dampens my enjoyment of the game (Spellforce, Torchlight, League of Legends). And if it's good, it enhances my enjoyment (Mass Effect, Darklands, Dungeons of Dredmor).

Didn't read the entire post. But some games I beat this year that I really enjoyed were Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, Hitman: Absolution, Batman: Arkham Asylum, The Witcher, Rainbow Six: Raven Shield, Fallout 4, Red Faction: Guerilla and Half-Life: Source.

Most of the time I don't play current games anyway, because I find them too expensive. I didn't even buy Fallout 4 when it was new, even though that's one of my favorite series of games. Sometimes I buy new indie games at a lower price, but only if I feel they're worth it.
