Welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight! I, @zombiepie, am once again honored to be your host as we look back at the best community-created works from the previous week. It's not every day that we see the pending doom of a social media network, but hey, it's been a year! Regardless, the community was pretty vocal about me keeping the Tweets section of the Community Spotlight. So, it will remain until Twitter ceases to exist. However, as you will see, the theme with this edition of the Tweets section involves the other social media platforms staff use on a semi-daily basis. All current staff are still on Twitter and while some have created accounts on Mastodon and IG, that is not universal. But more on that in a little bit! For now, let's review some site-related news!
With the main events of Extra Life 2022 behind us, it's time to thank everyone who participated and donated! Across Giant Bomb's 88 participants, the team managed to raise $156,776 which is enough to place Team Giant Bomb at #3 on Extra Life's highest fundraising teams!
GextraLife with Jess and company managed to raise OVER $30K and the Community Discord Team smashed their fundraising goal of $3,000 as well! If you were not able to donate during the main events, don't worry, you have until December 31st to donate to the current pages before Extra Life wipes everything clean for 2023.
If you are wondering about the VODs or archives of the Extra Life streams, the Mario Party stream is on the site and the 24-hour uncut SF Studio Stream is available on YouTube in a single video! For the other streams, here's what I was able to find scouring Twitch:
- GBXL 2022 Tracker
- Dave Lang VOD
- Nextlander VOD
- Abby VOD
- Jess VOD [Part 1]
- GextraLife Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
Finally, I mentioned last week how Danny O'Dwyer had to cancel his stream plans after two critical pieces of his streaming set-up broke. There's still no update on when he will be able to do this stream, but I will try to keep you updated as best I can!

Friend of the site, Fobwashed went back to some of the photos taken of the staff after their big live studio event in New York and decided to draw a comparison to a certain highly popular show from the 90s.
As the state of Twitter swirls around in a techbro-induced vortex, Mike Minotti is here to remind us what good the social media platform can provide us to brighten our days: memes. Recently Mike posted an image of him using a kayak and latter asked the internet to have a field day. The greater Giant Bomb community happily answered the call. Sorry, not sorry, for possible Final Fantasy VII spoilers.
Also, don't forget to check out any of the authors that created this images and send them your thanks.

For this edition of their "64 in 64" blog series on Giant Bomb, moderator Mento looked at Milo's Astro Lanes and International Superstar Soccer '98! Are either games buried treasures on the platform or are they just crap? Read to find out! Second, Mento also has a new edition of their "Indie Game of the Week" feature on the site and this one is all about Wintermoor Tactics Club! Does this indie tactics game do anything to set itself apart in a crowded field?

Wiki Of The Week
In light of recent news, various members of the Giant Bomb community updated the site's wiki page for Balan Wonderworld! Given the news surrounding Yuji Naka's run-in with the law, it's certainly "topical" to remind ourselves of this video game that is definitely a video game.
Hey, everyone! I'm starting to have a hard time finding new or recently updated wiki pages on the site that deserve some love and attention. As such, I'd like to do two things. First, I'd like to remind everyone that I take suggestions in the thread above. Second, I want to start using this portion of the spotlight to direct people to pages that desperately need more love and attention.
Editor's Note (Marino) - Don't make me start putting EverQuest pages on here every week.
