Return to Pandora as part of a new group of ragtag Vault Hunters in this sequel to the 2009 first-person "role-playing shooter" Borderlands, now with new crazy enemies, new crazy character classes, and even crazier weapons.
What Class are you looking forward to play?
Probably Salvador, but I think Axton looks better. Something about the blue beard is unappealing. Zer0 is dope, but I can never stay with the stealthy stuff. I really can't chose. Don't really care for Maya, but 2nd playthrough will probably be her.
I'll realistically probably end up being whatever my friends don't choose.
Lilith with focus on the control tree was an absolute blast (1-hitting with melee on pc's is awesome).
Sounds like Zer0 is the guy for me. Though, I actually like the other characters in this one, so I might try 'em for real this time.
Since the four class from the first game are already in the game, anyone else think DLC with those characters would be a cool idea.

Playing as them? I think that'd be weird and counter-productive. You're going to get invested with this new character all over again much like you did with the originals, so I imagine most people are just going to want to carry on with their current character than start anew. Plus all of the bases have been covered with this new lineup as far as the class archetypes go, so overall it'd be largely pointless.
From a story perspective, I think they may already be set to have some focus be it as quest givers or trainers, or maybe some friendly NPCs that'll tag with for story purposes. I think it'd be cool if they're actually introduced by saving you from Handsome Jack, or a horde of skags/bandits or whatever, arriving with all this crazy weaponry hinting at all the stuff you may have found during the original.
I'm most curious about Zero, as I think that could be fun if done really well, but I'll probably end up going Axton if Zero isn't really fun.
The correct answer is: all of them.
However, I'm going to play as Axton first so I picked that in the poll.
I think Zer0, since he reflects how I played my Lilith:
1) Literally exploding in people's faces, using melee and shotguns and Phoenix a lot. Cloaking seems like the closest analogue to that, and hopefully you can choose to explode out of it.
2) Getting the hell away when shit got hairy, and picking people off. Especially at level 69.
Best of both worlds!
Based on what I currently know about each class: Siren, Assassin, Gunzerker, Commando. In that order.
I'm not sure yet. I'm least interested in Gunzerker because his dual-wielding was a bit underwhelming when I played the game at PAX.
If only I could update the poll, so I could add Mechromancer, but my answer would stay the same, Axton.
@believer258: This is definitely true when playing solo because you have to do a little of everything. However, when I played with others, everyone seemed to play in a way that focused on their character's strengths in order to prevent stepping on someone's toes. It makes the experience way more enjoyable.
Probably Zero. I'm sure Gearbox managed the trees well enough for all of them to be cool so I'm going to stick with my sniper and my sword.
Looking forward to the short range stealthy Assassin. Seems like you should be able to customize the characters skills in a lot of different ways I'm excited to experiment.
The assassin looks badass, and I like being the sneaky type in games when they give you a choice to be sneaky. So yeah I'm rolling with Roland.
Not sure, the Siren seemed like an obvious choice the first time round for the coolest/most useful ability and she was great.
None really stand out this time round and I haven't seen much on trees.
If anyone has a decent breakdown on the new chars abilities or a link, that would be cool.
Considering I played through Borderlands multiple times with Soldier and Siren, my character choices for the second are:
Gunzerker > Assassin > Mechromancer > Soldier > Siren
I played so much Solider and Siren over the last three years and I feel I need a proper break.
100% honesty here: If Mechromancer was on-disc, that would be my first class.

I miss Brick, all I want to do is punch dudes in the face.
One of the gunzerker's skills:
Fistful of Hurt - Melee Override. Press [melee] to throw all your weight into a punch, causing massive damage and knocking the enemy back. Fistful of Hurt has a cooldown. While Fistful of Hurt is on cooldown, pressing [melee] will perform a regular melee attack.
You can read the full list of known skills here: http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showpost.php?p=2432009&postcount=7
@SpaceInsomniac: Hmmm there is one thing i'm a bit iffy on. What exactly is Handsome jack taking credit for? Considering the vault was a bust and was just a prison for the tentacle rape monster. And apperently it's significant enough to enable him to buy entire Hyperion corp too :/

Where is the character with the eagle?
He's from the first game. Borderlands 2 features four new characters. Although the original four are in the game, they're just part of the story. You can't play as them.
