Not complaining or anything but is anyone tired of campers? I see them with a 20-30 kill streak and only have less than 5 deaths. I even see 10th level 55 prestiges doing it. This happens on almost every game I go to and am forced to use the newb tube or even camp myself. Anyone annoyed by this?

First of all, the word noob appears far too many times on this page.  That word wasn't funny or insulting two decades ago, and it just makes you sound like a moron.  I really wish "leet" speak would've died with the BBS's.

Secondly campers are annoying, but that doesn't mean they suck at the game.  It just means they suck at life in general and can only derive satisfaction from the misery of others.  See schadenfreude.

Spawn Camping in FFA is a whole new level of lame.

Good people at COD4 play tactively.  When I play on HQ I don't just throw myself at the HQ, I place myself so that I can pick off guys heading to the HQ.  Camping...not really.  If you camp in COD4 you are destined to fail.

10 million people are playing the game, not all of them can be pro.

Camping is a legit strategy, but it's lame when people just run for a specific spot as soon as a map starts and stay there the whole game as if they're afraid of dying in a video game.

That said, a lot of times people cause their own frustration when it comes to campers by being stubborn and running into the same trap time and time again. When I figure out that someone's camping in a certain spot, I either do what I can to clear them out or I just don't go there anymore. Have fun sitting by yourself the whole match.

Well thats what happens when people who mainly play Halo go to Cod4,you can't play the game the same,so they just figure"i'll go hide in a corner and get the dumbest kills possibly making it look like i'm good" reguardless though,its just a game,and you can adjust to people camping. Just gotta keep your eyes open,many run to the same spots over and over again,and many move to a few different key locations,surround sound ftw.

I dont find the fun in camping
i really dont care about killrates
i wanna have fun and if i get to sit in one place and shoot every 3 seconds that doesnt sound like fun.
I'll admit im pretty new to FPSs and yes i do die a lot but the game is still fun

Camping is fine in certain modes such as Search and Destroy but modes like Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch it really sucks and just isn't fun.  Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch are all about running around shooting everything that moves (apart from your team mates of course) not camping.

Dude it's all because of everybody  at the beginning of the year who played Halo 3, got Call Of Duty 4 for Christmas. They took their stupid Halo 3 tactics and ruined in the online COD4. I got sick of it and said "fuck it. I'm not dealing with this shit."

when you tire of the mechanics of shooting straight youve got to play the game on some sneakier more tactical levels.

There's quite a big difference between being sneaky, playing tactically and camping in one place for the whole match. I don't know how COD4 plays online now, but back in January, I had to put up with all of the Halo 3 players.

There are noobs in every game.

And you can't tell people how to play.  If they camp, they camp.  Deal with it, get around it, kill him yourself.

Camping is legit, it may not be fun for the people on the opposing team, but for the people doing it; it is.  Try and beat the campers by working with your team and coming up with a tactic to take them down instead of trying to run in and slaughtered.  You're only letting them rank up their kills then.

I actually haven't seen absurd amounts of camping in CoD4. Even when it does happen I never found it to ruin the game. Many times it's easy to flank a camper, and if they are camping out in an area with only one entrance it's usually not a focal part of the battle and easy to avoid. Filiwian, you said you are "getting most of the kills" on your team when you play (nicely done), so obvious it can't be hurting you too bad.

That's why I hate Bloc >.> And second how is camping even fun? Just waiting to find some dude and snipe him is boring. I like to actually run around and FIND my enemies, even if I don't get as good a score as the campers. 

That's why I always use the 3 stun grenade perk. Allows you to slow down the campers.

The game is made for camping basically. You'll just die if you run out into the open. Making the enemies come to you is better and will give you a better K/D ratio.

I hate when people leave right when the game starts because they don't like the map.

what the heck i have no prob with campers just throw a cooked grenade and their dead. IT ALWAYS WORKS! But I camp at times.

Whenever I see them, I select one of my classes that has smoke to annoy them. Usually someone will kill them then.

People will do anything they can to be good at a game, no matter what everyone else thinks.

I don't see what's wrong with camping, it's a perfectly acceptable strategy. Besides, once a guy who's camping kills you, it's easy to tell where they are.

Snipers can be pretty annoying, but they aren't that hard to find if they stay in the same location.

In TDM you and your team shouldnt just be running around looking for kills. You should be slowly moving about. Guarding entrances. Using the radar tactically. And most of all stop complainging about others. And calling a grenade launcher a noob tube is retarded. I see people getting 4 kills with it on ambush just firing it from the start. It is a very useful weapon if you know where to fire it. So stop being a dick about it
