Call of Duty World at War: A Review By Kingrex32

Call of Duty World At War is the fifth game in the Call of Duty series. It was Developed by Treyarch, and published by Activision. It was released on November 11th 2008.

Like every other game in the COD series (expect COD 4) COD WAW takes place during World War II, it focuses on the lives of two different soldiers fighting the war on different sides of the world. The pacific theater were you play as Private Miller of the Marine Raiders and the Eastern Front were you play as Private Dimitri Petrenko of the Soviet red Army. In total there are about 15 missions to play through from the assault on Makin Island to the liberation of Berlin.
Like other COD games you play in a squad with five or six other computer controlled guys unfortunately your squad mates can sometimes be very useless. Just because you have a bunch of other guys behind you doesn’t mean you can hang back and let them take care of the bad guys, although your not the squad leader your squad doesn’t progress without you. It seems like a dumb thing to complain about but this is the 7th generation of consoles and the COD series has been doing this a long time, I would expect that if I’ve got to hang back to replenish my health a bit my AI is not just going to stand there and wait for me. Another thing about your AI is the fact that they can be a nuisance at times, they do things like stand in front of you when your trying to snipe someone or stand in your way when your trying to get away from a grenade. Unreliable AI is a terrible thing to have especially when the enemy AI is just plain ruthless.
