Human Revolution is the third game in the Deus Ex series, a prequel where players take control of augmented security officer Adam Jensen, and investigate attacks against Sarif Industries, a leader in augmentation technology.
If I could afford it and it was purely my choice, absolutely. Without the government to track me, drugs to take or any other totally negative side effects, there's no question as to whether or not I'd do it. However, not all of my body needs replacing or would even benefit replacement.
My arms, for example, serve me pretty well right now. I have a lot of upper body strength and I have a super-tight grip, so I wouldn't want anything to happen to those. However, I like to climb and run, so augmenting my legs to allow me to run faster or jump higher, or let me run for longer, sounds like an amazing deal. Likewise, anything to improve my eyesight, give me a sort of informative overlay (like the terminator, but less robot-y) or nightvision, sounds like a deal.
As for the supposed loss of humanity, I don't think that's an issue for me. Like others have said, if you've got the tools to improve yourself, why not take the opportunity? Your mind and your thoughts are still intact, so you as an individual aren't altered or taken away. This all comes down to philosophy though, so there's not much a point in arguing it.
Assuming that the augmentation would leave me with an entirely intact psyche, memories and personality and that I'd still retain all prior control over my body as well as new control over my new abilities, absofuckinglutely. The idea that augmenting oneself transcends them past "humanity" and into something else is entirely a ridiculous notion. If I've still got my brain, then I'm still human.
