Anyone else find the texture filtering a bit too much? (PC)

It's kinda crazy to me when I see other people play this game, it looks great, but when I max it out on my PC, including texture filtering, it looks weird. It's hard to explain, maybe I'll do some screenshots. There also seems to be some pop-in issues, even with environment detail on ultra. The water also looks downright glitchy at times. I mean it performs great considering my specs, it just looks off. I'm using the latest nvidia drivers too. I just looks kinda washed out overall with some good lighting in there.

Maybe it's just me being spoiled. I'm playing at 1080p with a near constant 60 fps with almost everything maxed (I turned fog to low). It just looks kinda rough. Anyone else somehow think that way?

Man, thank god someone finally said it.

Also playing on PC here. Game runs fantastic on a 1070 at 1440p, everything on ultra and it runs at a solid 60.

But it doesn't look that good to me. Character models look distinctly plastic, and the ambient occlusion makes things feel very flat.

There's some great lighting, fog, and depth of field here. But something still feels off. Best way I can put it is this looks like a very suped up Unreal Engine 3 game in an age of Unreal Engine 4 games.

It's still the same engine they've been using since Far Cry 2/Avatar: The Game. They keep bolting new features onto it but it's not far off what Bethesda have been doing with their tools since Oblivion.

A full overhaul of the engine probably won't happen until they put the series out to pasture for a few years (overdue imo).

I would like to see the screenshots. Also, how do you feel about the console versions in comparison, if you have seen videos?
