Damn, I was pretty into just irrationally hating on Fortnite though..

I got to wondering if Activision, EA, and others will demand that their games get cross play. At least for battle royale, they’d be at a significant competitive disadvantage.

It feels optimistic to call this a prescient, but doesn’t this sort of have to be the wall crumbling?

This is good if only because this means Sony is releasing people's accounts. If there is crossplay that means your account is free to work on all platforms, right?

awesome! great! hope this rolls over to other stuff as well. i remember rocket league being a weird case where pc could play with ps4 or xb1, but ps4 and xb1 couldn't.

Finally. If they do this for Rocket League and Minecraft, I might actually turn my PS4 on for the first time in months. Took them long enough to wake up to reality... I hear God of War and Spider-Man are good...

Hopefully this is a normal thing going forward and not just a one off.

I was waiting on implementation to buy any skins but the cool blue dynasty warriors looking one was gone too soon.

This really just cements how big of a game Fortnite is. No other game has the mass appeal to make this happen. This is gaming history.

Whilst I'm not the biggest Fortnite player, this is great news for gaming. Also good on Epic for working on a merge account option for those who have had to split their play over 2 accounts .

The most obnoxious/annoying game at the moment does something positive, but for me personally this doesn't do anything, since I don't play the game and most my friends have a X1 and PS4. PC gamers kinda need to be kept separated, since a mouse/keyboard is a big advantage. If I was playing PUBG on Xbox and PC players were allowed to play too I'd be pissed.

Too bad they added boob jiggle, now its a trashfire that they should be ashamed of.

@deathstriker: They are. You match up with people with the same control scheme as you. So if you play with keyboard and mouse on Playstation you match up agaist keyboard and mouse on PC and consoles. The only instance you match up against mobile players and all that fun stuff is when you have different schemes in your party. So it's in your hands really who you go up against.

time for me to play Fortnite for the first time since I played it for like 5 minutes and turned it off when the free version came out whenever ago.
