Rise of Incarnates apparently coming to EVO as a side attraction. Hopefully this means more people will start playing it.

@dochaus: I have not played it at all and have no real opinion on how good it actually is but it does seem they are trying to manufacture the "Esports" angle a bit too much with that one.

I'm assuming Ken is far from done graphically, he doesn't look nearly as polished as the other 6 characters. Probably ran short on time and had to put out the crappier looking version of him to be able to show it by Comiccon.

I could see it both ways really. depends on how street fighter 5 changes things and how its recieved. 5 will be on the grand stage but I could see them doing something with hyper.

The notion of them not having SFIV next year is pretty silly, especially given how new SFV will be; if it came out in September or something maybe but third strike got one more Evo and so will SFIV unless some other in demand game randomly pops up and we know how heavily those are scrutinized. If anyone wants to try to list off 9 games next year that don't include Marvel, the second biggest fighting game in the world per its placement on final's day, (which is unlikely to be there of course) or SFIV be my guest; I think basically every list will be easy to pick apart.

I think if they got rid of his bangs being so large, and changed the shade of yellow for his hair then Ken would be on point.

I know he isn't listed for the beta, but if he is, oh shit I'm going in hard on him. He looks 100000X better than any of his other versions to play as. Very in your face.

@hassun: that would assume they're trying to market the game at all. I wouldn't have even known RoI was a thing if not for an appearance on the Steam front page.

So the new character most likely will be a 100% new character, but if it is a remake of someone... wouldn't it be interesting if it was Oro before he lost his arm and hair?

He has the nose and eyebrows for it, and this is set between SF4 and SF3 correct? That would be a fantastic redesign.

@zlatko: There is no confirmation on when SFV takes place. And since Oro is so old it's extremely unlikely it would be a younger Oro. Oro has 2 arms as well. He just only fights with one because "THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM!" bullshit.

@l1ghtn1n: @flstyle: thanks! I'm entering USF4, P4AU, and Xrd, but work and JRPGs got in the way and I didn't practice as much as I wanted... so I'm hoping to just not go 0-2 in everything. But I'm going to have a lot of fun anyway. One thing I do want to try to do is get some Puyo Puyo Tetris running in the BYOC room, if I can find time between pools and hotel room casuals/MMs.

1 week till EVO already. Damn this year if flying by. Strangely really looking forward to Smash Wii U the most. Would love to see some Low Tier heroes make it to Top 8. A Ganondorf in Top 8 would be sick or a Dr. Mario.

@starvinggamer: For one of them Ken wears a Jonitti-esque Hotdog Suit, except instead of a hotdog it's a banana to go with his hair.

@hassun: Infiltration is like a Korean Floe, back when he actually played and had super good handles on all of the characters. Of course, Infiltration is much better than Floe ever was, but still.

I'm so bummed about the removal of KoF XIII from EVO. It was one of the consistent best showings—even the horrendous shits in the Twitch chats who only like SF4 and (ugh) UMvC3 were quickly being won over. Goddammit SNK now you really have to make a new KoF. We haven't heard anything official about Tekken 7 in the US yet, right? Hoping some news will surface during EVO. Really pumped for that game.
