I honestly like you as a professional game reviewer, but stop posting these childish, spun out, many times unacceptable "personal touches" to your news stories.
Heres an example from the "Gamestop sucks" news story you just posted.
"As such, I'd just like to include a reminder that there are roughly a gajilliondy other retail outlets that sell video games. Some of which even aren't run by the industry's equivalent of greedy, thieving goblins."
That does not need to be in a news story. It's not professional. Tell us the news, why it affects us, and leave your snarky jaded sense of humor to on camera work, where it shines and is more often than not entertaining.
Or you know...let Patrick do all of the news stories.
Alex, stop posting news. Please.

I kind of agree he's a little over the top, but I don't mind. He's balanced out by the rest of the crew.
I kinda like the idea of having goblins sitting in a dark room atop a stack of money that they got from customers.
For someone who complains about internet vitriol, he sure is seething with his own. I normally wouldn't mind seeing this type of stuff in posts on a forum, but when it's front page news, he's just going to inspire dozens of copycat remarks with half the thought put into them.
Don't get me wrong, I love reading his words. I just hate most of the comments the articles get.
I kinda like the idea of having goblins sitting in a dark room atop a stack of money that they got from customers.I like to think of them more like suit/tie corporate guys who summon this music upon entering any room. Should they enter the room all at the same time, it skips right to the "BWAA-bwa-bwa, BWAA-bwa-bwa" part.
I like the personal touches. Patrick does it too. Without them they wouldn't feel as "Whiskey Media" if that makes sense.
I for one think it's great that he doesn't pull his punches. Offended Gamestop employees are collateral damage at best, they brought this on themselves.
There is a difference between personality and professionalism. Patrick has a great balance between his personality and humor in his posts without sounding childish or unprofessional. Whenever it's one of Alex's posts I find myself doing a double-take on the post, reading that it's by Alex, then sighing. Oh. That's why this article sucks. Don't get me wrong, I like Alex in video/audio form, but his writing just isn't in line with the rest of the Giant Bomb content in my opinion.
I'm not really expecting seriousness when I come to Giant Bomb, that isn't to say I don't expect integrity from the journalism, but I don't need it to be totally lacking of personality. Integrity and being professional are different qualities from being dead serious all the time.
I for one think it's great that he doesn't pull his punches. Offended Gamestop employees are collateral damage at best, they brought this on themselves. What gamestop employee is gonna be offended?
Is this a sneaky way of telling us there's a guy with a revolver on your head forcing you to read it?
No?
Piss off then, send him a PM if you're stuck up about it.
Video game journalism really needs a revitalizing slap to the face if Patrick Klepek is a watermark of quality.
I love how you made a real criticism without saying something childish like say "Alex should stop posting news".
Oh wait a minute...

Giantbomb is all about the personalities. I don't understand how that one sentence does not allow you to understand what the news is. And, Patrick cannot handle ALL of the news, as he has also focuses on larger editorial pieces that we all seem to enjoy.
I don't come here for stale "just the facts" news. There's about a billion game blogs out there I can get that from. It's the people behind the content that make this place what it is. I don't always agree with Alex but at the end of the day I like how he do.
Don't be hatin.
Maybe dress up like him then record yourself reading his news articles out in his voice. Then watch it back and then apparently everything will be fine?

Won't you feel bad if he actually is trying to alert us about the guy with a revolver to his head.
Not really, I'm kinda heartless.@TaliciaDragonsong said:
