5'3'' 114 lbs, work out 3-4 times a week (light lifting, I'm definitely not hardcore into it, and running)
Are you a healthy gamer? (post height and weight)
I'm 5'10/11, 150 lbs, 5% body fat. Getting prepped for boot camp, probably in September, so yeah, I'm pretty active. I also play a shit ton of video games. The stereotype is bullshit. Most gamers I know are in pretty good shape, and at the worst they are just chubby or inactive, and even then working on it.
6'6" 225 lbs. Lifting 5 days a week, running 2 days a week, swimming 3 days a week.
I've lost a good deal of weight in the last year, but I've always had a huge frame, so when I was tipping the scales at over 300 lbs I felt worse than I looked. I mean, I knew I looked like crap, but I felt even crappier, if that makes sense.
5'8" 125 lbs I have a fast ass metabolism. im a sucker for chocolate. may not have the healthiest Diet, but i rarely get sick.
I was quite the long distance runner in HS, but haven't done much since, except a few hike's.
gonna start cycling pretty soon, stop the onset of getting a spare tire.
6' 4" and 195 pounds at the moment. I was always skinny until I left high school, being between jobs doesn't help my activity level either, but I'm going to start shaving off some pounds soon.
5 foot 6 127 pounds.
i own an MMA training center and work out 6 days a week. im skinny but pretty toned.
just won the international open in jiu-jitsu :)
heres my school by the way www.bambusamma.com im on the instructor page as the assistant
190cm (6'3") and 125 kilos.
I'm pretty muscular and have an (abnormally) dense bone structure - yes, I am in fact big boned haha, and I have the documentation to prove it! Also has an added bonus of my bones not breaking when they really should have.
I'm working to peel off the layer of fat that built up on my gut and hips over the past few years. I'm walking 6km a day minimum, running, doing weights, and just took up Krav Maga. I'm aiming to be able to play Rugby League again next year after an 8 year absence, and maybe return to boxing as well, so I'm hopeful of maintaining about a 100-108 kilo weight.
6'0 275lbs. Carry the weight pretty well, I don't look like morbidly obese, but I ain't fit by any means.
HEAVY GAMERS UNITE!!!!!!! WE SHALL CRUSH OUR ENEMIES!!!!!!!!
lols
5'8 and 150 lbs. I'm down from 168ish which was my all time high about 6 months ago. I started eating a bit healthier, cut out soda, exercised, and got a job that kept me a bit more active. I'm still a bit squishy but im at an ok level of health.
I'm 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. I played Lacrosse and Soccer in highschool and I am currently playing them in college and I cant also dunk a basketball. I looooove video games and always have but I think by looking at me you could never tell I'm as hardcore a nerd as I am. The whole stereotype about people that play video games is pretty stupid, but at the same time I consider myself and exception to the rule and not the rule.
6'0 and 170 pounds. I don't work out but I'm not in shape.
Also people just because you're skinny doesn't mean you're healthy. Maybe you'll live longer than the fat kid down the block but if you're a twig that's not good either.
5' 7" ~145 lbs. Been a while since the last time I checked but I'm pretty sure that nothing has changed.
6FT - 162lbs when I was last weighted at an hospital appointment. In my teens I had what's known as gold injections and steroid injections for rheumatoid arthritis which caused me to put on weight, thankfully lost all of that nowadays.
Drink lots of good water, and only have one full meal a day along with breakfast. Seems to work for me. Not sure I'd call myself healthy in a sickness regard, having rheumatoid arthritis effing sucks to high heaven and don't really regard that as healthy.
I'm 6' 210lbs. I do go to the gym regularly. I also play games more regularly (>w<)b
I feel that im way more active than your average gamer but I sill play for hours at a time. ( until I go back to college this fall )
I recently started juicing veggies so now I'm healthier than I was but pizza and cookies always sounds like a good idea to me so my diet is not exactly the best.
About 6'0 175lbs, I do Muay Thai and lift weights a lot of the week so I stay in pretty good shape, eating healthy just feels good also.
5'6
130
I'm one of the lucky ones.. I've been eating full blown meals every night before bed for a few months now and haven't gained a pound. I still have my six-pack from when I used to workout months and months ago haha, pretty good for a slob like myself.
I've recently just taken up running again and I'm feeling a LOT more refreshed and healthy too. I highly recommend that everyone should find the motivation to go for that first run, as long as you pace yourself, the feeling of accomplishment once you finish is amazing and should be a good motivating factor for continuing to run in the future. At least it worked for me.. :P
5'9 185 pounds.
I think I'm genetically cursed with a slow metabolism. I gain weight pretty easily if I eat any junk food =\ Still, I keep it at bay with gym roughly 4 times a week. I stopped lifting to build muscle and now just go to keep myself from getting fat or overly lazy. I still do sets of 10 with 225 so I'm going to assume i can still put up over 300 on bench -_-;; I'm currently trying to shed around 10 pounds, 5 of which I gained recently on a vacation to Asia. Few weeks of good food and no gym can really mess with you.
@Tonyyj: I agree that running is excellent and I plan on doing it again as soon as I replace my lost iPhone. Running without music is sort of awful. . .
Due mostly to my high metabolism, I've been somewhat lightly built my whole life. I'm 5'9 and weigh about 150 lbs (I do not own a scale, so this is based on the last time I went to a doctor's office, which was for a dog bite in February).
im 5'10 and im 135 pounds. ive been losing weight and gaining weight yet i can still lift more weights every 2 weeks and i feel the same.
I'm studying nutrition right now, and while having a low carb (and low starch) diet is certainly a great thing to do (in life in general). Subsisting that with all the "bacon and meat you want" is a frankly, an awful idea.
Your ultimate goal should be to actually BE healthy, not just look skinnier. Thin people still get heart disease (David Letterman), and I urge you to focus on cutting out many meats out of your diet (especially red meat). Go big on veggies and fruit, nuts and whole wheat, and lots and lots of water. Many times, when we think we are hungry, we are actually dehydrated.
Also, cut down on portion sizes, and don't allow yourself to snack between meals. Just drink that water, or if you need to eat, have some nuts because they break down very slowly and give the sensation of being full.
5' 11" and 240 pounds.
I'm currently working on getting my ass in shape. Ever since I moved to New Jersey I've gain a bunch a weight and I'm not happy about it at all.
