Hmm Its not completely working for me yet. I'm able to access the mobile site but not able to post comments....
Giant Bomb Mobile Preview
Posting isn't working! The Bombcast isn't working! Videos aren't working! I'm having serious troubles!
Video among other things didn't work on Opera Mini on my HTC Legend, then I tried the Dolphin Browser and it works great, try switching the browser.
i subscribed last night and this morning i logged onto m.giantbomb.com with my account and it brings up the mobile site.... videos dont have a play button tho.
" @fistfulofmetal: Just a picture, right? That's how it is for me. "yup.
i'm using a Motorolla Droid running with the latest firmware. Just a picture for the video. Also when viewing the page vertically the News - Videos - Reviews ...etc links at the top are all scrunched up and even cut off. Gotta go horizontal to get it to work.
Just tried the podcast page. No play button or anything there either.
Am I missing the download link for videos on the mobile site or is it not there yet? And if it isn't are there any plans to put one up? I know I can just download them to my PC then move them to the phone but connecting the Galaxy S is always a trial so I'd rather avoid it if I can.
Also I just checked and the bombcast doesn't work for me on the mobile site either, videos play fine though.
" m.giantbomb.com "SUCCESS! Thank you kind sir. I had been trying mobile.giantbomb.com and giantbomb.com/mobile. The mobile site is now my homepage :P

Is there a way to quote/reply to forum posts through the mobile site? I like the forum interface and everything else on the mobile site, but I'd love to quote people if at all possible. Then again, it's possible I'm missing it and it's very easy to quote through the mobile interface.
" @MagusMaleficus said:Like I said, videos will not play. Specifically, a popup informs me that "This Video Cannot Be Played". When I said that the problem is with Android, I should have specified that I'm running Android 2.1 My carrier did not update to 2.2, and I'm not brave enough to root." I can't vids to work, but I suspect that's an Android issue.... Oh well, cool otherwise. "I just tried with my Desire. No problems at all. What are you having issues with? "

Hrm just tried it my self, and they don't work for me either now. Kind of weird cause they worked a few days ago.
just tested again. videos display as an image and no a video. again running a Droid with the latest firmware
Mobile site is great. Two feature requests though. When redirecting to mobile site, can we get redirected to the page we originally wanted? Following links from twitter is impossible right now. Can forum posts be limited to one level of quotes for the mobile site? Keep up the good work!
I have a Droid X. Did you try clicking on the image? At first, I thought "Oh shit, it's just an image!" but if you click on it, a video should start loading like any other YouTube video.
Edit: Also try going to http://html5test.com/ on your phone and checking to see if you passed the H.264 support test. Cause I think thats the format for the mobile videos?
EDIT: Did the test, and it failed the H.264 support test. I don't understand why. Oh well. Fuck it. At least everything else works.
Hey just as a quick shout-out to some of my fellow android users
I'm currently using a motorola milestone (droid) on android 2.1update1. The only way for me to get the mobile site to work (properly) is to use the stock browser. Anything else seems to have weird problems. Also as I reccommended to Magus earlier, use your phone to go to http://html5test.com/ and then see what score you get on the video test. (I've gotten 22/27 and only passed the "video element" and "poster image support" tests)
@MagusMaleficus: About what I said about the H.264 test earlier, I just realized that my phone doesn't pass that either but the videos still work.
Edit: I just tested the browser "Dolphin browser HD" and that works for the site along with the stock one.
