" @Ahmad_Metallic: 'Tis a Game Gear. Nice spot. "
Don't know if this has been posted yet or not, but I am watching Community right now and I'm pretty sure Troy and Pierce were playing Modnation Racers. I do not have a screenshot, unfortunately, but it is in the episode that aired April 22nd about chicken fingers lol.
"Where is the Love?" music video: Two kids are seen "playing" Postal II on a TV. (1:36) Additionally, there is a promotional poster for GTA: Vice City. (0:16)
"Hella Good" music video- A couple band members are seen playing what looks like Jet Set Radio Future. (2:34)
I don't think this one has been posted yet. A Computer Space arcade cabinet gets some use in the movie Soylent Green. The body of the cabinet that appears in the movie was painted a custom white:
Jaws: Killer Shark. Know I've seen Battlezone, Wizard of Wor in a film but can't remember which. Maybe Gorf, too. And that helicopter game that's a bit like Outrun / Hang On but I can't remember the name of it.
Oh, and of course House of the Dead in Uwe Bol's House of the Dead.
In Brooklen's Fines a bunch of people are playing GTA I think it was San Andreas. Also in the start of the movie you can see the Rockstar logo on one of the cars.
There's the intro to Wayne's world where Brian Doyle Murray plays the owner of a bunch of arcades. There were a bunch of games running behind him, and the only one I can recall is the original Sonic. I can't find any stills either.

Its actually a point of interest for those in the Sonic community. The footage clearly shows UFO-like things flying around in Marble Zone, suggesting its some kind of alpha or beta version.
Not sure if they've been mentioned, but there was a god awful sequence in the TV show "Life" where Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones was played.
Also, in the Hurt Locker there was a scene where one of the guys played Gears of War.
EDIT: And in Disturbia, Shia LaBeouf played Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter on the Xbox 360 (either 1 or 2).
Did anybody mention yet Gears of War 2 in The Hurt Locker?
Probably. I just wanted to mention it just in case.
"Anachronisms: Specialist Eldridge plays Gears of War (2006) on an Xbox 360 when Colonel Cambridge enters the room to counsel him. The Xbox 360 was first released 2005; Gears of War debuted in November 2006. Yet the setting is Baghdad in 2004." - IMDB
I'm watching Wild Things: Foursome (don't ask) and saw them playing some fake ass Wii. The controllers look really wide and in some kind of knock off zapper. Plus there were supposedly two of them playing and only one character and crosshair on screen. Does anybody know if the game they were "playing" is real?
In Kidulthood they play Fifa 06 and one of them is pretending to play a hard game but I don't know what controller he's using, can anybody tell me? its in the 3rd picture.
Ask the crazy Tracey Morgan he does a lot of things differently" @Red said:
How does one hold an Xbox 360-controller wrong? "" Tracey Morgan plays Halo 3 and the 360 in general in 30 Rock a lot. He does, however, hold the controller wrong. "
in How I Met Your Mother
Scrubs Dr. Kelso is talking one time about playing a game in which you can drive over hookers in a golf car(GTA obviously)
in Life
Prince of Persia
South Park has quite a few references. In the episode "The Ungroundable", all the kids are playing Call of Duty: World at War in computer class (a team death match in the castle map). They're also all playing World of Warcraft in the episode "Make Love Not Warcraft" and Cartmen mentions that he wants to play Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars in an episode about debt, I don't remember the name of it though.
There is an episode of house where he is playing what I believe is Ninja Gaiden 2, cant get a screencap though
I started an account just so I could represent for one of the greatest achievements in human civilization, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They were playing NARC in that creepy Foot Clan recruitment center.
SPIN THAT WHEEL
Alvin and The Chipmunks 2 they guy is constantly seen using a 360 with a headset and the controller aint on, i think he uses a handheld too. ds maybe ?
In last week's Psych episode "Not so close...Encounters," two characters are seen playing the Halo Reach beta toward the end of the episode for about 3 seconds. Then they cut to their faces and one of them completely ruins it by screaming "Activate the Pillar of Autumn!" which makes no sense in the Reach beta context. In addition, posters of Fable 2 and Halo 3: ODST can be seen in various parts of the episode.
This thread has been here for 14 months and I never noticed it =[
Some pretty awesome stuff in here, especially the South Parks
Wow, I'm surprised no one mentioned this but I'll be happy to add a new one to the list!
In one early episode of Smallville with Red Kryptonite, Tom Welling who plays Clark Kent/Superman is seen playing a football game (Madden I assume) on . . . . . GAMECUBE! Actually thinking back, it MAY be the season closer or opener for season 2 or 3.... I'd have to check though. I could possibly get screencaps as I have all the seasons. I remember being so amazed that he was actually playing GameCube and having more respect for the show after that. As GameCube was my Nintendo fanboy console of choice. :P
And then in the 12th episode of Season 9 entitled “Warrior”, you can see "Project NATAL" (before it was renamed Kinect) being played!
Here is a picture. And here's the article I wrote about it. Both me and Ferry are big fans of Smallville. :P

As an aside, Michael Rosenbaum (Lex in Smallville) did the voice of Hayden Tenno, the main character in Dark Sector.

Outside of this, Kristen Kruek (Lana Lang in Smallville) starred as Chun-Li in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li although I do not recall if the game is played or shown anywhere in the movie. But I'd imagine it is. I do own the movie on Blu-ray but I don't own a PS3 or Blu-ray player (I was sent the movie on both DVD and Blu-ray for free to review :P And traded the DVD to someone on GameTZ . . . . for CDs :P)
