Playing Asteroids on the Atari 2600.
What is your earliest video game memory?
Getting the NES with Mario Bros/Duck Hunt on Christmas morning 1986 or 1987. I was like four and that console made me the gamer I am today.
I also have a fond memory of winning the SNES at the Christmas school raffle in the early 90's. It had just come out that year. All of my friends were jealous and the other kids cried.
Hm....probably when i was watching my brother play some tank game on the SNES.I was probably like 3 or 4.
It was either playing Pac-Man arcade at some restaurant, or playing SMB/Duck Hunt on NES. Forget which I did first.
Original Super Mario Bros when i was 4. The theme music and basically every level is now permanently burnt into my brain ;).

getting overly frustrated at Donkey Kong.
Asteroids at the corner market when I was like 5. They had a step stool for the shorter kids to be able to see the screen. It was awesome.
Pong, or Sonic. I can't remember which I played first. I didn't play pong when it was first released obviously.
Playing Plok and Uniracers on the SNES.
The most vivid memory is either my brother playing Tekken with his friends or...
When he was losing in Starcraft and he had to go to the bathroom so he let me play, and all he had were a few uplifted, half dead Terran buildings.
I thought it was the coolest thing.
Holding down the reset switch on my Atari 2600, and making the ducks and bunnies in the shooting gallery stage in Air-Sea Battle spaz out, twitching back and forth in a state of permanent reset. Was hilarious until Dad heard my laughter and saw I was fiddling with his expensive toy...
Watching the neighbor hood teenagers come over and play Strip Poker: A Sizzling Game of Chance on our Atari 800. lol, I don't think my dad realized what was happening.
When i for the first time played a video game. I was about 2 years old, and the first game was Super Mario Brothers on the NES.
Sweet memories.
1982 or 1983 ... my neighbor had ColecoVision and I was obsessed with the Smurfs game. We had Atari 2600 -- I loved Barnstorming, Pitfall, Haunted House, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pac-Man, Grand Prix, Enduro.
My mom worked at a bowling alley at the time, so we'd spend non-school days with her. The arcade had some of the greatest cabinents ... Donkey Kong, Zaxxon, Dig Dug, Bagman, Pac-Man.
Opening up a limited edition Gameboy color that was yellow with pokemon on it, along with a copy of pokemon yellow. I played the shit out of that game.
Earliest video game memory is playing Baldur's Gate on the PC, I really had no idea what I was doing being around 4 or 5 at the time but I still treasure the game even today.
thinking that playing video games were the hardest thing you could do.......i died a lot playing kirby...i was like 8 then :/
I have two very different and fond memories that I can't figure out which was first:
- Playing Sonic in my friends living room in our sleeping bags for hours while we played two player in the casino level. As well as after school playing Sonic on Game Gear during the after school program. I still remember that code to get to all the levels that one of the older guys showed me.
- In California (where I was born and raised) they had a laundry mat that had video games under the tables where you could fold your clothes on. I would sit and play Mario, Legend of Zelda, Kirby and many others.
