Limewire = Greatest Program

Yeah I use Utorrent as well, I hate lime wire. Downloading individual songs usually with crappy bit-rate qualities and sometimes has viruses.

Am I the only one here who doesn't pirate music at all? I feel like I need to have the actual physical media, I even refuse to buy digital downloads because if that website goes bust or I don't have access to a computer then I won't be able to listen to it.

I use uTorrent, it's the way to go. Limewire has spyware etc..

Limewire is ok if you just want single songs, but uTottent just pwns at everything else.

I personally use uTorrent and Azureus/Vuze.

The best combo I've found is btjunkie+bitlord. Love them both.

Limewire is great if you like to have numerous trojans running on your computer at any givin single time.  I like Mp3 rocket.  Because I can d/l individual files as well as torrents.

Nearly every program is riddled with viruses on Limewire, its crap! I prefer getting the full album via a torrent instead of downloading crap from Limewire.  And aswell, Limewire doesn't have proper file encryption, if you live in a place with strict laws against piracy (US for example) you can end up in court very easily.

Ahhh the pirates....that's all i will say.

It's not about the viruses, I mean, if you're downloading the obvious virus-laden files, you're just an idiot. You just can't find a lot of stuff there.

Torrents are better for anything non-music. And for music, there's far better options than that.

And as for legal programs, last.fm is far better at showing you new music than Limewire.

I got a Virus from Limewire... I still use it though

I personally mostly use direct download from rapidshare, but if that is unavailable i'll use torrents. I use to use Limewire but it's way too incosistent to be useful.

Why does everyone assume limewire gives you viruses? Don't be stupid and you won't get any malware, I've downloaded hundreds of songs and never once had a virus, and if you are really that paranoid download AVG Free and scan everything you dl before you click it. The only way you will get a virus from limewire is from non audio files, for programs, videos, and anything else use bit torrent!!! (btw utorrent = greatest bt client)

I use Ares myself. Limewire never seems to work as smoothly as Ares.

I am not a fan of the program.  Bitrate is horrible and too many mistitled tracks.

Bittorent programs are the best for downloading stuff.

I was a Limewire fan for a few years, filled my first Ipod with files from it.  Then someone showed me how to use torrents.  Waaaaaayyyyyyy better.  Utorrent works great for me and isohunt is a good site to search.  Happy downloading.
