What do you do for a living?
here's a better idea of what i do for a living. the video is NOT of me. it's of somebody else. i haul those bad boys as well as the turbine generators, and poles. the generators are a bit more unnerving due to their width and top heavy nature. even on a low-boy trailer, they require some serious TLC while in transport.
I work as a visual effect artist. Its an ok job, but I'm starting to get bored with it. I need a more creative outlet.
Just finished up at college, but applying for grad school now in English Composition for teaching.
Currently employed at the local hospital though. Pretty good pay for the area, but not the best job, especially because I don't want to work in the medical field as a career. I also volunteer edit students'/friends' papers and creative stuff on the side.
" I am a college student, getting my B.S. in Information Technology. "Oh really? How is that? I've been thinking about moving from an Electrical Engineering major to that (I've come to terms that I'm too derp to be an engineer). I'm not sure what I would specialize in though.
I used to be an Army Ranger, green berets (no, not the American one, the Norwegian). Now I work in private security.
I am not going to defend what happened in the Gulf of Mexico. The company deserves whatever shit that's thrown at them and it is their responsibility to facilitate recovery through both funds, their resources and leadership. But anyone who thinks that they don't care or that everyone who works for them just sits on barrels of oil counting large piles of cash is an idiot because thats the impression I get from people sometimes. It's easy for people to get pissed of at oil companies in general but they are providing a service that you demand. I doubt there are too many giantbombers that live in houses hand made of manure and straw and drive horse drawn carriages everywhere.
just finished up my BS in Mathematics, looking to do something full time with it. hopefully Gov't will pick me up, or local community college. Im not too picky.
but right now, I work at one of the last few Movie Gallerys. Thankfully, the person who owns the building used to be in the movie renting buisness, so he is reopening his old line of stores, and I am on with them! Its nice knowing that I will still have a job regardless of MG, but def ready for full time work!
i go to school full time for a sociology degree (maybe afterwards i'll learn a trade, i just want that damn degree)This is my dilemma. I want to go to school and get a degree and do the whole university thing, but the only reason I want to do this is to get a degree, not for the reason to get a job. I see myself as someone working in a trade or something a long those line, "working with my hands" as one might say. So, I don't know, I am finding harder and harder to justify getting a degree, because I don't really know what I would do with it.
Factory worker at SIMV (Sheltered Industries Meramac Valley.) basically a factory for the mentally/physically handicapped. Doesn't pay that much. But I'm gonna get out of there one of these days. I've always wanted to make my own video games or test them. But I don't think I have the mental capacity to remember all those function. (I'am ADHD) Maybe I will work at Wal-Mart one of these days. I hope so. But it ain't looking so good, these days.
I'm a Systems Administrator for a non-profit government contractor that deals with health fraud prevention. The job can really suck some days, but it pays the bills and gives me the foot in the door with making a lot of networking in the industry.
Also, they are paying for half of my Master's Degree so I can tough it out for at least two years for that.
Full time student right now, but I work part time at my family's bakery during the summer and such.
