Fuckin' Oddjob!!! If you play as Oddjob you're a terrible person and I hope you skate into an AIDS tree. 
 
Other than that, the game looks pretty good.... except for the split-screen. I forgot how chaotic that whole thing was.

I'd definitely be interested in playing this, trying to go back to the N64 control scheme just doesn't work for me anymore

Graphics are laughable, and Goldeneye just doesnt compare (for me anyway) to more recent games. I have much more fun on Cod 2 than I ever did on Goldeneye (multiplayer, the singleplayer was always crap on Goldeneye.)

I never wanted a remake of Goldeneye nor a new Goldeneye, so I could care less...I really don't feel these games aged all that well either. However, I'm sure goldeneye fans will eat it up. 

Like I said before, if you guys really want to play Goldeneye, play it on Steam like everyone else.

Not sure that I have a reason to be excited for this. Activision is clearly using the license to cash in on nastalgia, if the game actually proves to be good then I'll be surprised.

If your gonna make a Goldeneye remake don't muck it up with motion controls.

Why are people getting excited? The reason the first one was was so good was because RARE was behind it.

Ugh. Its a totally different era now. As a "new" game, even as a re-make this is ridiculous and way out of place.
 
This would have been fine as a downloadable classic game on the 360 or something (I realize that probably wouldn't happen being Nintendo and all, though it was Rare) but as a "new" game to get excited about during the Holiday's in 2010? Yeah, no thanks. Going a bit too far.

Goldeneye was garbage and only for console noobs who did not have a Fucking PC to play  Unreal or quake 2 or a real First person shooter on the PC.

God that game sucked hard the only thing worse was Turok.

MAking goldeneye suck more than it already did is tuff to do but it looks like they have i give them an award.

Did they even get any of the guys who worked on the original to come in on this one?  If they didn't what makes this any different than that other crappy game that tried to capitalize on the Goldeneye name a few years ago?  Plus, Wii FPS controls?  NO THANKS!

As much as I would like a true Goldeneye remake, this is not what I want.
 
I have nothing against Daniel Craig, but randomly replacing Pierce Brosnan with him makes absolutely no sense. Also I don't want a re-imagining of the game, or whatever the shit this is, I want the same damn game, but with new fancy HD graphics.

Can't see how this goes well.  I did love the single player in the game - from what I recall it was one of the first games with multiple difficulties for each mission, alternate objectives, and a ton of unlocks, in addition to cool gameplay - but there's no way this can compete with modern shooters from the look of it. 
 
And except for nostalgia, the multiplayer doesn't have anything going for it.  I'll hole myself in the bathroom of the facility with some proximity mines once, but after that I'd much rather play Halo, MW2 or pretty much any other game.

So does this mean we are getting a new Goldeneye movie starring Daniel Craig?

Replacing Pierce is just wierd, but it is interesting to see them revist a game in this fashion.

On the Wii? I feel like this is a bunch of wasted potential.

So much time has passed, it'll be interesting to see how much the motion controls improve/ruin/impruine the experience.

I was playing games like Quake when Goldeneye came out. I understand why people love the game, but to me it was a FPS with horrible controls that got by because most of the audience didn't have anything to compare it to. In the last 10 years we've seen that FPS controls can be done well on consoles. Are they as good as they are on the PC? No, but they still work extremely well. Unfortunately, I have a feeling the controls for this new Goldeneye game will be like The Conduit's. Once again, Goldeneye will be a game with lackluster controls, but this time the audience will have a better frame of reference from Halo and Call of Duty. We'll see how it goes for them, but I'm not hopeful.

This must be the reason why the XBLA version had been cockblocked by Nintendo. The N64 version was split among Nintendo/Rare/Bond license holder. By featuring Daniel Craig and remaking maybe they're getting around the part Rare owns.

So I'm assuming this is running off of the Wii port of the CoD engine. yes? This looks similar to the Quantum of Solace game that Treyarch did. 
 
Not shocked that they replaced Brosnan with Craig as they would have had to get the rights to use Brosnan and they already have a Craig model ready to go. 
 
Saddest part though is that this is quite possibly the last time we'll see Craig as Bond unless MGM gets their shit together fast.

Loving the silly people hating on the best shooter of all time, original Goldeneye.
 
I'm hesitant about this remake because something just tells me they won't do enough to modernize it and it'll end up feeling a bit lackluster.
