Greg LoPiccolo was the bassist for alt rock band Tribe in the 80s and 90s, and doing a little bit of game music work on the side (including the classic Genesis release Bimini Run) before becoming a full-time game music man at Looking Glass Studios in 1993.

In 1998 he took on the position of Project Leader for the development of Thief, then after its release moved to Harmonix and was Project Leader there for pretty much every one of their major releases.

He has a BA from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, and is originally from Vermont. According to this article, he was 32 in 1993, so he would have been born in 1961.
