I was only able to find one Youtube video mentioning anything like this, and it wasn't even the actual guy. There could be hundreds of reasons that a few people got early copies, I seriously doubt that retailers were given any copies yet considering the game doesn't even come out until FUCKING SEPTEMBER.
Reach doesn't leak without at least a dozen ass hats bragging about it on the web. I call bull shit.
Pretty difficult for a game that hasn't entered the disc printing stage much less gone gold to leak.
Only way I could see this actually being true is if the review build, which is downloadable via XBLM, was ripped.
But then that would also require redemption codes to be sent out for the review build to be downloaded and to the best of my knowledge they haven't been sent yet.

I remember reading somewhere that a modder had gotten his hands on a Redeem Code for the Games on Demand review copy that's out there, and was planning to start releasing it to the public about a week before the official launch. Obviously we're more than a week away from September 14th, but there have been a few videos popping up on Youtube today that show off some previously unseen Firefight/Multiplayer maps. It's probably safe to say that several people have the full game at this point. Link to one of the vids below:

Yep, saw people from HBO talking about it as well. As soon as I saw people on NeoGAF mention that the game was up on the marketplace, I knew someone, somewhere was going to find a way to download it.
I'm just going to avoid any and all videos and spoiler-tagged stuff, whether it be on here or NeoGAF. I figured it was going to leak soon. If not for the modders, it probably would have been the French.

So, the White House has caught on fire. I see this fire the moment it happens and post it online. No pictures. 5 minutes later, a major new source writes about it. In the 5 minutes between me posting it with no evidence and the major news source posting it, is the fire any less real?
Same thing here. I saw the leak. Almost got spoiled by it. I can't give you a link of evidence because hey, its a fucking leak. But I try to post about it here to warn you guys so you guys don't get spoiled too. A few hours later, a major news source posts the same thing I did, without any major evidence either because you know, its a leak and then that's all fine and dandy?
@Zereta: Most of them identified that Live had been hacked into by a group that operates out of Game-Tuts.com.
You on the other hand said you saw and video, didn't post a link to the video, and provided no information outside of that.

This wasn't even a true "leak." There aren't copies of the game floating around out there, it was stolen. I checked all the usual suspects for this kind of shit and turned up nothing. Perhaps if I had known crucial facts like, oh I don't know, that it was TAKEN FROM MICROSOFT THROUGH LIVE I may have been able to track down some information verifying your claim. Hell, you could have even just posted a link to the video, and that would have been enough.
However you didn't.
