Jarate, "the jar-based karate", is a secondary weapon for the Sniper in Team Fortress 2. Jarate takes the form of a jar containing urine being thrown at enemies and splashing upon impact. When the jar has been splashed onto enemies they can take up to 35% more damage on mini crits for short period of time. Jumping into a pool of water will wash off the Jarate. Jarate is also able to spot out Spy's cloaking devices. When Jarate is used on teammates or yourself, it extinguishes any fire effects that have occurred. Jarate is automatically given to players that have obtainined 11 of the Sniper's achievements.
