    Decent Indecency. 1

Developer Io Interactive is capable of creating an immersing tone and feel to their games, as previously seen with the Hitman series. Deep and twisted characters have always been an important factor. Nobody has come close to Agent 47's love of killing. I'm willing to bet that Io's newest duo, Kane and Lynch don't love killing as much, but they are just as sick and twisted. The best thing that Kane and Lynch has going for it is its well developed story. Kane and Lynch have really deep, interesti...

A serviceable shooter that makes great use of its mature themes. 2

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men is a sloppy and unattractive looking third person shooter. An unattractive and sloppy TPS that fortunately manages to still deliver a well done story with a pair of exceedingly memorable title characters.  Kane and Lynch through and through is a third person shooter. It has a few twists added in such as squad mechanics but overall it plays like many TPS's we've all gone through many a time before hand. The shooting isn't the best you'll find, but it's manageable enough t...

Kane and Lynch, good or complete crap? 1

Kane and Lynch isn't an ugly, ugly game, in fact it’s incredibly under-rated. The hate surrounding this game has shunned it when it has done nothing wrong, that would be EDIOS and C|NET that have caused issues, not Kane and Lynch. When you play this game you have to keep a straight face and an open mind, and you will find a burred gem with a lot of problems. Kane and Lynch starts off with you breaking out of jail. Kane is on death row for killing twenty-five people in , and Lynch is on death ro...

Middling Gameplay ALMOST gets in the way of an enjoyable plot 0

OK, so I went into this game with some idea of it being terrible or whatever. It's hard not to when the game is 7 years old. I didn't know why, but I know it was bad. From the very start I realized that the controls felt awkward and at times made the game seem harder than it actually was. This can be frusterating, but something told me to fight through it.It was the characters. None of them are likeable. They are all huge criminals. But man, are they are one big trainwreck. Between the spats be...

    Mixed opinions 0

Ive read most of peoples reviews on this game and the 'video' review and agree and disagree at the same time! I think the overall concept of Kane and Lynch is very good however when it gets down to it its so hard to 'like' the main characters in this story. I mean they really are I mean really are bad guys! So when I was playing I couldnt help thinking that I deserve to just die! I have to say that the graphics on this game arent appauling however considering Assassin's Creed came out around the...

An Underappreciated Gritty Game That May Suit One's Taste 1

One that has the most realistic storyline with compelling characters, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is a gripping video game that may deliver too much senseless swearing and mediocre replay value, but the dark humor and non-stop action are so cool that you may be willing to forgive Kane & Lynch's shortcomings. Help me. Help you. Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is the latest instalment from the creators of the Hitman series. You play as Kane, a death row inmate who was a member of an underground ...

Im kane and this is Lynch and were here to PUMP you up!!! 0

This was supposed to be the new big franchise after Hitman for IO Interactive and EIdos. But even though the big budget and the good public relations it failed miserably. This game was rushed and sloppy, with really bad gameplay,  poor AI, and really, really bad graphics. On the good side the story was interesting and some of the best voice work in the business. This title is barely worth a rental and if you do rent it you will be thought with in 10 hours, and you wont want to come back for its ...

    Decent campaign 0

Danish IO Interactive is of course most know for their Hitman franchise. This is their first game in a new franchise where stars are: Mister Kane and Mister Lynch. Game play is story driven first person shooter with cover/squad mechanism.  Story starts with a heist like action and then turns into a revenge mission. In the end story becomes a rescue flick. Not really original and interesting other than the observing the strange chemistry between Kane and Lynch. Especially in a certain ...

A meh game with bad Camera and bad Dialogue 0

Ok we all know of or have played Io Interactive’s Hitman series and for the most part found it pretty good for the most part, sticking with a similar Formula Io brings you Kane & Lynch a typical third person shooter that is in its very inhumane world Unique. First the good points: Blood and Gore: Although the core graphics are only acceptable to the Next Gen and especially the PS3’s standards the detail is defiantly shown when you shoot people up close and it splatters everywhere, Whether...

The Leamenator & Kane & Lynch: Dead Men 0

... This game... is... tough. Not tough in terms of gameplay difficulty, but in terms of to explain. It is difficult to explain this game in a way without saying that it completely sucks. It's pretty easy for anyone to do just that, but I wanna try and not do that... It's okay. The plot wasn't bad, it just could've had a bit more polish to have it make more sense, but it wasn't a complete failure of storytelling. The characterization was a little weak as it seemed to stereotype the two main char...

    krap & lurch 0

Copying the game mechanics from Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter seems like a no-brainer – until Rainbow 6: Vegas, nobody had done the cover mechanic better. Even the simple squad controls – cover, move, attack – are borrowed from GRAW.And then, the ambition was to craft an elegant story. That's what we heard all through the run-up to this game's release – two men thrown together... the struggles, the choices.I knew that they wouldn't pull it off completely – I mean, how often do you hear about ...

    Not that bad. 0

Kane and lynch is a ordinary game with a story about 2 continuously swearing psychos. The story is good, not bad. The game would have sucked without 2 modes, co-op and online. The co-op is well done, you can play with a friend and it is entertaining for the moments it last. The mode that made me justify the note to this game is Fragile Alliance, the idea is great, working in a team cooperatively but you never trust the other, this game brings some tension online. This game is a fun game but it i...

    Kane And Lynch: Review 0

I'm gonna be honest here, this game SUCKS. On the surface it looks nice (i'm obviously not talking about the grapichs) since at first glimps the story appears to be quite dark and interesting, and you got two unique main characters. When i started the game i thought the controlls were kinda clunky and it just didn't seem entertaining, but i continued to play the game. After completing the first two missions i realised that the game wouldn't get any better, the gameplay just doesn't work, shootin...

An entertaining action game (sometimes unintentionally so) 0

By now, you are probably familiar with the controversy surrounding "Kane and Lynch: Dead Men", the latest game from Io Interactive. The studio that gave us Hitman and Freedom Fighters has now given us this Tarantino-inspired, over-the-top, ultra-violent squad-based shooter. The best way to describe Kane and Lynch would be as a retarded and R-rated version of Freedom Fighters. Many of the negative remarks that have been written about the game are true. It is loaded with problems, and at times fee...

There Are No Happy Endings 0

Kane and Lynch portrays one of those stories that tugs at your mind and sanity, as you play through and watch everyone around you die because they became involved with the wrong people, or simply were in the wrong place at the wrong time, but you look back and question exactly what good came of it. The battalion of police officers you mowed down during the course of the game weren't corrupt officers, they were merely ordinary people called to an extraordinary situation.  Kane and Lynch: Dead Men...

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men 0

Kane & Lynch is one of my more frustrating game experiences in recent memory, and a big part of that is I wanted to really like it. I know the game caused a fair amount of controversy around its release, but that didn't stop its premise from being interesting to me. Most modern, cover-based shooters either hinge on the same familiar military setting or put them inside varyingly likable open-world environments. To play through a Heat-style series of capers, with a couple of aging and...

In Short... Kane and Lynch Is Just Fun. Especially With A Mate 0

Firstly I will point out that Kane and Lynch is very much an adults only game. With high amounts of blood, swearing and a very dark story that many have seen as the game adaptation of Heat. But these arn't bad things. The game is based around Adam "Kane" Marcus, an ex-mercinary who was once part of an organization known as The 7. After an operation went wrong Kane left the rest of the members in Venezuela. Taking a secrete package with him. Once returning to the US Kane was arrested and placed in...

Great potential but crashes and burns 0

I bought this game because I thought it would be an amazing Michael Mann inspired video game. But what turned out was a game that was heavily bogged down buy glitches, a horribly choppy story that takes you from an L.A. Bank robbery to a night club in Japan with some dialogue and a load screen, with characters as they said are definitely not likable in anyway whatsoever. Overall this game felt like it was still in prototype form and needed another 2 years or so to really be realized, so it could...

Forget the Negativity, its fun. 0

Let me first just say the game has problems, really it does, the difficulty needs looked at, the graphics could use another coat of polish and every now and then the shooting mechanics go a touch “funny.”  However these things didn’t stop me loving the game. So what did I like then? Allow me to answer my own question by telling you. Firstly I enjoyed the story immensely; I thought the characters where fantastic, when the gunplay works its genuinely satisfying and co-op is almost essential now ...
