    Overview

Kane & Lynch is a series of third-person shooters published by Square Enix. The series was created by IO Interactive as a spiritual successor to the game Freedom Fighters.

Both games in the series focus on two career criminals: Adam 'Kane' Marcus and James Lynch. The two men share a tumultuous relationship which is reflective of the difficult situations they find themselves in.

    Main Games

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (2007)

The first game in the series released in November 2007 for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game follows Adam 'Kane' Marcus, a convicted felon sentenced to death row who is rescued by his former employers - a mercenary group known as The7. Kane is tasked with retrieving a briefcase containing money that The7 claims he stole from them in exchange for Kane's wife and daughter who are being held hostage. Accompanying Kane throughout the story is a fellow death row inmate James Lynch, who experiences frequent blackouts causing him to violently lash out.

    Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days (2010)

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days released in August 2010 for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The story again revolves around the titular protagonists, who both find themselves in deep trouble in Shanghai after the death of a powerful crime lord's daughter and are forced to fight against several gangsters, police officers and soldiers in order to escape.
