Watch This Kingdom Under Fire II Trailer
Kingdom Under Fire is high fantasy for manly men, the kind who relish Iron Maiden album covers and covet giant battle axes. There are no fey spiky hairstyles in here, no sir. Now there are cornrows. As seen in this trailer!
This trailer popped up on Gamersyde. The official Kingdom Under Fire II site still hasn't posted it, though, so I have no idea where this came from. But it certainly looks real. Really awesome, that is.

That looked surprisingly awesome.
We'll see how those incredible visuals and promising concepts translate into gameplay, however.
Yes!
Anything with metal is an instant win, and if there is Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, etc, I'm a happy camper.
I played one of the KUF games... I think it was the recent one.
I had heard a lot of good things about the music before playing, but it was decidedly flat when I heard it. Definitely not "death" metal by any means... perhaps Industrial/Thrash at the game's absolute hardest (which is STILL VERY light). Death Metal has still yet to be merged with gameplay. Music was a letdown.
However, the graphics look great with plenty of detail. The distance and scale of battles also looks nice. Hope the gameplay is good and that the graphics stay crisp in HD.
This looks less like KUF2 more like KUF: Heroes 2. Thats not a bad thing but im slightly disapointed its not an RTS game like the original KUF, that game was pretty awesome. Though im pretty sure im going to get this game regardless, KUF: Heroes was pretty awesome and spent a good month solid in my Xbox.
That trailer failed :s I mean, i know it's a trailer and all, but if it's the job of a trailer to get me interested, it did indeed fail. Whats the catch? Whats the game about other than a dude trapped with a million gazillion lightly dressed orcs and humans hacking away? I mean really, looked kinda dull tried & safe.
Oh come on, I'm already on your fucking site guys. Please don't start with the obnoxious watermark shit.
Big meaty white dudes with cornrows, dragons AND dinosaurs?!?!?!? All this game needs is a soundtrack by rhapsody or Dream Evil and I'm sold!
I really really wanted to like KUF Hero's, but it was so fucking complicated, I've never felt more incompetant failing to keep up with what was expected in a game. Music was awesome though.
I bought KUF: The Crusaders on a whim and pretty much loved it. The gameplay was pretty in-depth too, but lacked very much in terms of customization for your army and major advancement. Hopefully this game changes that.
I never played Heroes, can anybody tell me the difference? I saw some people say this new game looks more like Heroes; is that bad?
I bought both the last KUFs on a whim at the same time a couple years ago and put only about an hour each into them. Not to say they were bad... I still would like to play through them, but there always seems something more interesting out there keeping from getting back to them. So I'm looking forward to buying and almost playing this one too.
Is it just me, or does playing a regular soldier feel more appealing that automatically being superguy with auto-musket?
I dunno.
I am glad it is coming back to the game play that I liked. I played Crusade and Heros when they came out and loved them with the mixed genre the only thing I really hope they get working a lot better is the online that was the only thing that I did not like from the games. I guess I will have to keep an eye on my long archers again while sacrificing my pike men. I hated the little hack and slasher they brought out last year I felt they were lazy because you built half of a Kingdom Under Fire game.
This game is exactly for me. Metal + Big Swords + Flying Dragon-like things..
This series is arguably the only of its type that takes the Dynasty Warriors formula and makes it good. The visual style and Swedish Death Metal blend perfectly, and the slight strategic elements give it some semblance of a design besides: Start level, kill 500 dudes, fight boss, next level, repeat.
I was worried that Circle of Doom killed the series off with its crappiness, but it's nice to see the series proper is returning.
