    Overview

    Red Dead Redemption

    Leigh Johnson, commonly referred by other characters as "Marshal", well, the Marshal of the first major town the player encounters, Armadillo. He is an old timer of sorts, who reminiscences of the old west and how civilization is changing things. He requires some persuasion before assisting John Marston in his attack on Bill Williamson, as he believes his duty bounds him to the city limits.

    Marshal Johnson also has two deputies, Eli and Jonah, to assist him with his duties. He does not hold them in the highest esteem.Though he does not appear again in the story following the attack on Fort Mercer, a newspaper article indicates that he retired after 17 years of service, with plans to move "as far away from Armadillo as possible".

    Undead Nightmare

    Marshal Johnson also makes an appearance in Red Dead Redemption's DLC, Undead Nightmare. After cleansing the town of it's undesirable and undead inhabitants, Marston can help the Marshal by tracking down his deputies, who he had sent out to keep the town safe. Upon his return, Marston is rewarded with a sawed-off shotgun for his efforts.
