Lemon was founded by designers  Søren Hannibal and Jacob Andersen who previously worked at Core Design, making the Amiga game Banshee. As a subsidiary of Scavenger, Inc, their only output was  Amok, for Sega Saturn and PC. When Scavenger went bankrupt, the team disbanded and went on to work for other companies. Hannibal went to work for Shiny Entertainment to work on the Matrix games, while Andersen joined up with the remaining members of Zyrinx to form IO Interactive, creating the Hitman, Freedom Fighters, and Kane & Lynch games.
