One of the four main playable characters in Yakuza 4, Tanimura is a Detective; known as the ''Parasite of Kamurocho'' for his actions of extorting companies that use immigrant workers, and his frequent gambling habits.

Overview

A rather unscrupulous Tokyo cop, known to be involved in the illegal gambling scene (he takes bribes from illegal gambling dens in exchange for not turning them in). He became disenchanted with life in the force after a case tying his father to a local Yakuza boss.

Combat Style

Masayoshi is unique in Yakuza 4 in that his combat style is heavily focused on counters. It also involves a lot of grabs and similar moves. He is fast and quick, but most of his attacks are not high in damage.
