I personally find it insulting that they are charging this amount for 5 Modern warfare 2 maps
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Game » consists of 22 releases. Released Nov 10, 2009
The sequel to 2007’s wildly successful first-person-shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues the story of American and British soldiers fighting Russian ultra-nationalist forces.
1200 MS points for the stimulus map pack are they having a laugh?

For "hardcore" gamers its definately hard to take when you buy new games all the time and download full game experiences for less than the price of the map pack. The problem is that it will most likely work, a large number of the MW2 players seem not be the "Hardcore" gamers but the kind of gamers who own 1/2/3 games which are the most mainstream titles like FIFA/PES/Madden and MW2 (or Cod's) so for them its a one time payment when they dont otherwise spend much on games and have no concept of the value of 1200MSP.
Still if I was playing a lot of MW2 I wouldent want to pay 1200, id rather keep it and get a whole new game for 800/1200 points from XBL. Though again if I was playing a lot of MW2 you almost have to get the mappack to continue playing, if you dont you will most likely get dropped every second match and your friends will get pissed you arent following along with them.
Get as mad as you want but 2 million people are still going to buy it, and then they'll buy the next one for the same price, and the next one, and then the next one for 20 dollars.
" Get as mad as you want but 2 million people are still going to buy it, and then they'll buy the next one for the same price, and the next one, and then the next one for 20 dollars. "That's true. But it has to stop somewhere. Where will it stop? Next thing you know Activision will charge $70 for their Call of Duty games.
Of course... we all forget that it's ok for bungie to charge $10 for 3 maps, which is technically more expensive PER MAP than this one is. But it's Activision. What do you expect?
1200msp aren't to bad when you get to play Overgrown and Crash on MW2. With Bungie charging 800 for 3 maps I can't really complain.
Let's be honest, technically you are only paying for 3 NEW maps. 1,200 MSP for 3 new maps is a God-damn rip-off.
But, it isn't like none of us expected Activision would pull this kind of shit.
wow, i'm glad i sold my copy of mw2. i can't see why anybody would be playing that game online still, but even if it was for a better online game, 15 bucks for 5 maps is pushing it. i'll spend my cash on braid instead, thanks.

"It's the price point. We did the same for CoD 4. Because they were brand new maps. So, $15 for 3 new maps and 2 ported maps is kind of ridiculous.
" @ArbitraryWater said:Even though one map in every single Halo 3 map pack has been a remake of a previous Halo map? Sorry, that argument doesn't work in this case." I don't like it, but it's still a better rate than Bungie charging $10 for 3 maps on Halo 3. In this, it's $3 a map. For Halo, it's about $3.33 a map.
Funny thing is that more than enough people are going to buy this.
This reminds me of Steam-deals, but the opposite.
Something on a sale or reasonable price might get alot of sales, but in the end the ridiculously expensive stuff actually brings in more money, because there are more suckers out there than bargain-hunters.
