I have no plans of ever getting MW2. I played CoD4's campaign and found it very underwhelming and generic as hell, so I have no intentions of going through that again, especially with Forza 3, Tekken 6, Dragon Age and maybe Borderlands to occupy my gaming time.

I'm not. I amost never buy games at launch it's too damn expensive and the prices drop quite fast too...might wait a month or so.

Haven't played the first one in a while. I'm more of a Halo guy.

Considering the price of CoD4 hasn't really dropped since launch, I'll probably get this fairly close to release. Complete it in one or two days and then give the multiplayer a go.

I never buy a game on launch day. And I only just got COD4 in June and I've been playing it a lot since then, so I can live without it for awhile. I'm more excited for MW2's single player than its multiplayer.

Not going to get it. Forza 3 and Dragon Age will be more than enough to last until next year. I feel that if I got MW2 I would want to really go all out and focus 100 % on it to become good and stance a chance online. I won't have that time so I'll probably won't get it at all. There is no point in getting it next year when everyone else have leveled up like crazy and played hundreds of hours. Also I'm not a huge MP kind of guy. I might play through the campaign at some point like I did with CoD4 MW1.

I'd get it on launch day if I had money, which I don't. So, no, I'm not getting it on launch.

Me. Still busy with WaW. 

I don't know if I'm even buying this one. I didn't care much for the SP of Modern Warfare and while the CMP was awesome, I just get shredded as soon as I hop in a game. I'd rather play a co-op survival mode with friends and have fun that suck at CMP. 
 
Not to mention, Borderlands is out shortly before this...

I'm surprised that a lot of people aren't getting MW2; unless they meant the first day it comes out.
 
As for me, I'm getting it on the first day. I don't really plan to skip school since we get off a bit early the day it comes out anyways.

Nope, don't have Xbox Live Gold and my PC probably can't handle it very well though it did handle COD4 ok.  Also, I will be deeply sucked into Forza 3.

I find the lack of faith of some of the people in this thread disturbing.

I have already payed for it in full on amazon. Opted for free shipping, so it's possible it won't be here on the first day, but it will be close.

I have no choice. Pretty much all my friends are going to pick it up and I don't want to miss out on all the multiplayer sessions.

 A lot of people are getting Modern Warfare 2.  Not buying it makes me cool and automatically better than the rest of you slaves to the machine.

I'm hoping to get it for Christmas with a PS3 and Uncharted 2. But who knows?

I was planning on it, but since my 360 decided to kick the bucket again I may end up waiting.

I'm not getting on midnight but a few hours after, just so i don't have to wait in a 4 hour line up (lines suck).

i'm not not getting it on launch day, although i probly wont end up playing it for a bit, depending on how good borderlands is. which i expect to be awesome
