The gremlin is a relatively new concept from English Folklore, a mechanically oriented prankster with a passion for sabotaging aircraft.
Also known as Jenny Haniver; in reality it's a dried-out skate or ray corpse, but it entered legend as an unknown sea monster.
A winged creature from Greek mythology with the body of a bird and the head of a woman. Generally depicted as a winged woman with grotesque features with a mind full of bad habits.
According to greek mythology, Hydra was a many-headed serpent; the offspring of Typhon and Echidna. For each head that got cut off, two new heads would grow in its place. It was eventually slain by Hercules.
These games are based off of established licenses, such as movies, comics, or TV shows. Examples are the James Bond 007 and Spider-Man franchises.
Lycanthropy is the disease or curse where a person changes into a, usually wolflike, were creature. The disease is spread by being bit by an existing lycanthrope, and is accompanied by a forced transformation into an anthropomorphic creature during each full moon.
Mythical Creature with the face of a man, the body of a lion, sometimes with wings and a tail that can shoot spikes. Other times it has a snake for a tail or a scorpions tail.
Mythological creatures with the body of the human and the head of a bull. They are often found in video game dungeons, waiting for foolhardy players to stumble upon their lairs. Sometimes they're mindlessly violent, other times they're oddly peaceful and in tune with the world around them.
Ogres are large, grotesque, barbaric humanoid creatures. They are generally not very intelligent, but make up for that with their unmatched strength used to crush and maim their foes.

The king of all dinosaurs, featured prominently in most every game that features dinosaurs. Usually portrayed as a high-level boss or even an invincible obstacle.
Vampires are undead, nocturnal creatures that subsist on blood. They have superhuman powers and are sometimes able to shape-shift. They are weak against sunlight, foreign objects stuck in and left in their hearts, decapitation and sometimes holy water and crosses.
In games they're often described as being masters of the dark arts. Basically, wizards gone bad.
A mythical beast from South Africa. When plucked, its feathers will turn to gold.
