This is why the gaming industry needs a few nutjobs like Suda 51 around. It keeps everyone else on their toes. Sure, his games sometimes work as if he forgot to actually try and, you know, play them before they were released, but when you experience one of his games, you really experience it. I've yelled at his games in frustration, but I've never yawned or said "meh" once.
You know I was originally hoping to see some Motion Plus in there, but... ah.. I dunno, I suppose I really did enjoy the combat of the original plenty fine. Good to see the bosses are only getting f'n crazier. That's all I really want. (Maybe a better overworld set-up, as well. Yeah definitely that.) But mostly the crazier bosses. Also, I really love NMH's theme song... that was an interesting rendition of it there in that video. I'm sold.

Overall, while the story and action were fun, the game holds absolutely no replay value for me and that makes it a difficult purchase. I suppose there are the side missions and upgrading all your weapons but if you do that while going through the game, what's the point afterwards? It has sat on my friend's shelf since I beat it. I guess I'll wait to see how the final product looks and how the reviews are.
Very nice trailer. Pretty insane. I loved the first and this doesn't look like it is lightening up on the ... [more]
