The game contains four playable races, over 500 quests, and over 2000 pieces of equipment to find.
Players are greeted when making a character with four different races of character; Human, Elf, Orc and Undead. Players can choose both male and female characters and edit their basic appearance, although somewhat limitedly, before the final character has been created.
There are four classes available in Order & Chaos online; Warrior, Mage, Monk and Ranger, each with its own perks and skill specialisations. Depending on the character the player picks, the game will vary significantly in terms of attributes and abilities, however the basic quests for all characters are relatively similar.
Players can choose whether to play in servers located in three regions; Europe, America and Asia, although as of present, the European and Asian servers have no seperation of different languages, which can be confusing. As a result, a lot of English speaking Europeans can also be found on the American servers.
