Patrick Stewart is a British born classically trained actor who has starred in a multitude of TV, film, and stage productions. Stewart was born on Yorkshire, England on July 13, 1940 and entered drama school at the age of 17 starring in a wide array of stage productions for a variety of companies. He is most well known for portraying Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation. The show ran from 1987 to 1994 and has also been adapted into four major motion pictures. He continued his roles in sci-fi by playing Charles Xavier in the X-Men films. He has also appeared in many other works, including Shakespeare plays.
He has voice acted in many games, from reprising his roles as Jean-Luc Picard and Charles Xavier, to appearing as Emperor Uriel Septim VII in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
