I am tired of the games that I have, and I'm just wondering if there are any deals out there right now on PC games that are worth my time (don't have to be new).
Avoid obvious suggestions please (Starcraft, Half Life, etc.)

Need to waste money
Do you have Steam? If not download it(unless you have something against digital copies of things), they have a big library of great games for generally cheaper than retail. As well as every weekened they take a game, or an entire list of games from a certain developer to have like, 15%(or 25% minimum? can't remember) to 75% off sales on them. Plenty of great deals there, with info of everything there in the description, and plenty of demo's for everything too. I dunno what single games I would suggest, I'd say just look at the library they have.
few games I'll recommend real quick though, don't know what genre you prefer but here: Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, Company of Heroes,(if you have any interest in old school point/click adventure games) Sam and Max. Just a few suggestions, look at what they have for yourself though.
Yeah, Mount&Blade is on sale on steam.
Thanks for the suggestions. I guess my original post made me sound a little less informed than I think I am. I play Left 4 Dead and stuff all the time on Steam, and those are the deals I usually have my eye on. I'm definitely thinking of getting Mass Effect for 20. I'll check out Mount&Blade too actually, that sounds like a good deal.
I just need to find a game to waste a bunch of time on.
A game to waste plenty of time on, that I think is actually kinda fun too if you have any care for a diablo like isometric action rpg, is Titan Quest. There is a demo of it on Steam as well, if you've never played it. I only first played the demo the otherday, and its actually pretty fun. can definitely keep you busy for a while.
You're making awesome suggestions. I already bought Titan Quest a little while back though, hahah. Good idea though, I should probably go finish it. I usually only play it when a friend is on but I should go through it, it was a lot of fun.
Get World Of Goo and Audiosurf off Steam to support the developers if you have money to burn.
Oh yeah, they're awesome games too
Oh yeah, Mass Effect is pretty boss. I've played through it twice on the 360 and the PC version is supposed to be even snazzier (Better graphics, improved HUD and whatnot)
Ah ya, I have no idea how I forgot The Witcher, great time spender there, plus its a wonderful RPG. Mass Effect on PC is a real nice upgrade from the 360 version, they added some nice fixes. Though its disappointing they never released any kit to allow modders to add to it. Especially being bioware, you could always mod their games. AudioSurf I wouldn't say is a real timesink, I guess it could be, but its still a great little indie game that is a real cool idea.
"Arggh I hate Steam for being so awesome.
Sounds like I should go for Mass Effect."
Not on Steam:
Penumbra: Black Plague
I'm thinking about picking this up. It's $19.99 at my local stores.
or you can download it from other sites. ^
"Yeah, Mount&Blade is on sale on steam."LEVIO IS THAT YOU?!
I never really looked into Penumbra, but I heard some positive things about it. Is there a demo anywhere? I really have no idea what kind of game it even is, or how you play it.
edit- scratch that dumb question, I clicked the link and there is a 'play the demo' button on the front page, so nevermind that. Gonna check it out.
Yeah, I played my brother's copy of Audiosurf a few times. It's a really cool game but I don't know if I would go back and play it more. World of Goo is definitely a possibility too. I'm checking out the demo of that Black Plague game even though I have no idea what it is. And yeah, I wanted my life to be consumed by Fallout 3 but I'm having issues running it on my PC. MOAR SUGGESTIONS (Thanks for all of them so far) ((Not that I have enough money for even close to all of them))
I tried the demo of Peggle on Steam and was entranced. Thankfully I had enough willpower to wait for the 360 version so I can get points.
Any interest in RTS at all? Company of Heroes would be the best choice out there.(its also on steam)
Not really a tono f just standard suggestions I can give. I enjoy the Sam and Max adventure games, if you buy them by an entire season they have plenty of length to them, as long as you don't just find a walkthrough and get through them super fast.
Only other thing I tried recently that is pretty cool is called "Sacred 2", you can download the entire game free at their website, just need to make an account. It blends an RTS/third person action game/FPS/RPG. A single player I believe can become the commander and will be put in an RTS perspective(its like all multiplayer, but has tutorials), and will get the resources to research upgrades for the units. The rest of the players, actually control the units themselves, and so teamwork is pretty crucial. Its very hard to explain here, you can get the info on their site if you just google "Savage 2"
Free sounds fucking awesome! I'll give that a try.
I have no problem with RTS games, I just find that a lot of time I don't have the patience to learn them. I'll check those out though
I would try, try and try some more to get Fallout 3 working on your PC cause that game is too damn awesome to miss out on
"Yeah, Mount&Blade is on sale on steam."No shit games.

Mass Effect is awesome. Just know that there are some issues some people are having with it on PC. For me it runs nearly flawlessly, but a weird glitch stops input from working occasionally (like once every 10 hours of gameplay) and I have to force quit it, and there's an issue with a few texture alphas, but I'm playing through on a "new game+" with my original Infiltrator and still love it.
I'd suggest STALKER with the caveat that it's pretty buggy.
"Bellum said:"Yeah, Mount&Blade is on sale on steam."LEVIO IS THAT YOU?!maybe morrowind? if you are into modding games and stuff the TES construction set can be fun. fallout 3? maybe a first person shooter, counterstrike? (i bet you have it) or call of duty."
Levio wouldn't call you a fucktard, but I will.
"Sins Of A Solar Empire.I also vet Sins. There's an expansion coming as well. And the Penumbra Trilogy is just fan-fucking-tastic."

Thanks, I just found it and it's only $17.99/US.
Team Fortress 2 is also a blast to play online.
Also, I just played through Devil May Cry 4 on pc, and i gotta say - wow! that game really surprised me with how great it was. Only thing is you'll definitely want to use a 360 controller.
Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Dead Space and Mirrors Edge are also AMAZING GAMES.
I also can't say enough good things about Sins of a Solar Empire.
In a similar vein, I can also recommend Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, a good stand-alone expansion to the original SupCom. The Witcher is amazing, but make sure you get the remastered version and not the original...the dialog is a bit wonky.
Right now, I'm enjoying the heck outta some Warhammer Online. If you tried WoW, but wanted more "oomph" in it's PvP sytem, WAR's definately for you. Great character design, much better balance, and all kinds of freebies in the works.
"Check out some classic adventure games like Grim Fandango,Monkey Island series and Sam & Max (both old and new)"
I agree. Also, check out gog.com for some great older games. Most everything they have up there is decent to great, with the highlights being the Fallout, Broken Sword, and Oddworld games.
