    Words alone can't express how happy this makes me.

    I'm now looking forward to a good few hours of frustration followed by that magical moment when I figure out how to move on to the next level in exactly the same way as I was getting when I played and eventually completed Portal 2. Serioulsy, if I could have pre-ordered this it would of been done already!

    If a developer wants to put out free stuff thy should totally be allowed.

    It's got little to do with microsoft, as long as they are compensated for any loss they may incur , but then whats the sub for right?

    Yea I hope they really beat it into Microsoft's mind on this release, because if Portal 2 on Xbox 360 becomes less complete as other version, it would be really sad.

    Am I the only one who finds it darkly humorous that a game releasing new content as free DLC was also the one most ripped to shreds for selling aesthetic stuff? Would people act happier if the levels cost money and the clothes were free?

    @MikeLemmer: Well, hats and such are not really important to anyone. If you want to get them, go ahead, if you don't, nobody will care. Free maps is on the other hand way cooler to get for free.

    How come Portal 2 DLC is free but L4D content is paid?

    Valve have always said that they wanted L4D content to be free but MS wouldnt allow it. But now Sony will allow free content, MS change their stance on this?

    Vague irony here is how Steam is free, and if you own the game on Steam I'm guessing
    like L4D all updates/addons are free. Xbox Live is not free, and you even have to
    pay for most addons or even just browsing the damn thing.
    I'm just bitching because my Xbox Live subscription is up for renewal soon.

    Hopefully this DLC will include the much-needed SDK so we can create our own maps.


    Community-created Portal 2 maps will indeed be much more creative than official ones, maybe they can even be submitted for future DLCs (not unlike what is already done with TF2).
