    Pray for Death is a 2D fighting game developed by LightShock and published by Virgin for MS-DOS PCs on October 1996.

    An over-the-top violent fighting game reminiscent of the Mortal Kombat series, Pray for Death puts 10 dead warriors from across time and space in an otherworldly competition by Death itself. Along with gruesome finishing moves (including comedic finishers), the game is notable for its dark theme (similar to other games based on Mortal Kombat), its use of pre-rendered 3D graphics (for both characters and backgrounds), and the use of the fictional cosmic entity Cthulhu as a playable character.

    It was later digitally re-released for modern PC and Mac computers (both via Steam) by Interplay on October 20, 2017.
