@insomniak08: You should definitely give Origins a shot. I used to be really into that franchise, but by the end of Revelations I was so burned out on that formula. Gave Syndicate a chance, but it felt so bad to play due to how animation heavy those games became. The changes in Origins brought me back onboard. I'm way more into ancient Greece than Egypt, which is why Odyssey hooked me hard. But Origins is also a really solid game.

Odyssey was the most time I put into an AC game since AC2. I have a couple hundred hours in that game, so I'll probably enjoy Valhalla. I lost all interest in Watchdogs after that first game, I doubt I'll pick up Legion. And I really liked Far Cry 3, but none of the sequels managed to grab me the same way. I'll give this one a shot though. Overall a weak show personally, since I only cared for AC.

I suppose I'll just have to see for myself, but a game that endless tells me violence is bad but gives me no options to not engage in said violence is kinda eh? I read somewhere that enemies who see you kill their comrades will cry out and act grief stricken, but that feels kinda cheap when I only killed that dude because he attacked me on sight. Honestly, for all it's faults, Pathologic does this much better because the violence IS often a choice and there are real consequences to consider. From what I've read The Last of Us 2 just makes you brutally kill tons of people than in a cut scene tells you "No no, that was a BAD thing you just did"

Wouldn't that depend on the kind of game your playing? Like if your playing an RPG and are forced to do brutal kills, only for the cut-scenes to tell you the player is a bad person. That would definitely feel cheap. But if your playing a game trying to tell a very specific story about it's characters (and not the player) being violent, then it's kinda difficult to allow the player the choice to circumvent the violence.

Probably not. My enjoyment of the game was mostly tied to the performances of those actors. I don't think I could give this show a fair shake unless they choose to focus on different characters.

Just finished the show and the timeline stuff sucks. Reaching the ending I get what they were going for, but the execution was a mess. I get want you to emphasize your destiny angle, but did you have to force the word into what felt like every conversation? Also the Nilfgaardian armors still look like melted poop.

Really liked Cavill and the other actors, and some really cool fight scenes. Kinda conflicted about Jaskier's witcher song though. It's catchy as hell, but also felt weirdly out of place. Really hoping they hit their stride in season two now that they've setting things up this season..

All I wanted from this game was to play Ironman. But flying with PC controls is the worst. It feels sluggish and unresponsive. I'm gonna pass on Anthem, what a bummer.

I'll probably just buy the game used, although admittedly a lot of gameplay mechanics being praised in the media has already been dampening my interest in the game. So I might not buy it at all.

Telltale lost me after the second episode of Wolf Among Us and Walking Dead season 2, but I still checked in occasionally. TWD season 1 and Borderlands are still some of my favorite games though, I hope everyone there land on their feet.

I might get this. Despite it's issues I liked the overall story of AC3 way more than the Ezio trilogy (obviously ignoring the abomination of how they chose to end the Desmond plot).
The game would've been perfect if Haytham had been the protagonist. And also if they had cut down on the hours worth of tutorials......and reigned in the need to put Connor front and center of every major historical event in the plot.

Until I saw The Man from U.N.C.L.E. I thought Cavill was kinda bad at acting. Turns out the man can actually be a decent actor, they just did a real poor job of using him in those Superman movies.
I'm okay with this casting, hearing that he's apparently a fan of the games and even read the books makes this a really cool gig for him.
