It always mattered to me in theory, but I never actually made use of it. So my honest answer would be no.

I think if she were just one of those people who is like... man I don't like Turians because our first meeting was a bloody space war it would be very different. She would still be wrong but in the way that at least you can see why she's like this and how she could be better.

That was pretty much her arc though. Due to the events of the first contact war and the negative ongoing effect that left on her (and her father's) military career, she distrusts all aliens. She doesn't actively hate them, but like Pressly she doesn't feel comfortable relying on them or giving them access to top secret human information/tech.

@big_denim: I don't see how this game is gonna be all that different on that front. You' re still gonna have to keep up with purchasing new packs, or you' re gonna run into the same issues you had with Hearthstone. Except you're also paying upfront for the starter decks and heroes. The ability to sell cards on the marketplace is neat though.

I actually think Blizzard did a pretty good job with their F2P model on Hearthstone. The free starter cards were decent. I only ever paid for the solo adventures, but still was able to get all the legendaries through dailies and getting decent at Arena. That said I mostly played during the first two years after release, I've no idea what the game is like now.

What a weird choice to not go the F2P route. A big reason I got deep into Hearthstone for a couple years, was the F2P model.
Charging up front creates a barrier that makes me much less likely to give this game a shot.

@mems1224: I never understood people complaining that the combat wasn't responsive. The thing I loved about combat is that rolling was discouraged, instead I mostly dodged attacks.
And that was an enjoyable play-style to me, only because the combat felt responsive. If I couldn't quickly dodge out of my swings to escape attacks I would've raged real hard.
Instead I was left feeling like a bad-ass by constantly just barely dodging away from attacks and thus never fully breaking away from combat. When I did get hit it felt like I was at fault rather than the controls. I do agree with you on the horse being a pain at times.

It's kinda ironic though that most of your complaints about W3, are the exact reasons I dislike Skyrim which you hold in higher esteem.

@the_nubster:My understanding is that the majority of those movies were never canon, because Toriyama had very little if anything to do with them. Also some of them don't even fit the manga/anime timeline.

@zeik: I don't mind the grinding as much (I play Warframe) if there's an easy to follow structure of side-quests. What turned me off was that all I had left in that zone was public events with no other players around most of the time and 20-30 min queue times for dungeons because I played a DPS role. Progression just felt painfully slow to me at the time. And I just kinda felt lost as to how to move forward in way that didn't have a lot of downtime.

@zeik: I bought the game maybe two months before Stormblood. I remember staying close to the level requirement for doing the next story bits, simply by doing things as they unlocked with minimal grinding. But somewhere around the lvl50 thinking the gap to the lvl requirement for the next story bit was larger than it had been before. The zone I was in was kinda deserted which made grinding the public events a pain and being a DPS made the queue times for dungeons too long for my liking.

I was having a great time with this game, but I fell off hard around level 50. I wanna say up to that point I was able to follow the main story-line with minimal grinding, but around lvl50 I reached a point that suddenly demanded way more grinding than I was willing to do for the next story unlock. I should give it another shot someday.

There were some really cool scenes this season, but overall I found it to be disappointing. I didn't like the different timeline stuff, seemed to rely too heavily on a mumbling and blindly stumbling Bernard. I lost all interest in Dolores this season and William's story (which I liked the most) just fizzled out by the end. Also the amount of incompetence on the humans side to push the story forward was ridiculous.
