It's a Duke game, and I'm fucking excited. I'm actually genuinely upset I don't have enough money for it this month. I think too many people have weird, unrealistic hopes for this game; all I wanted was Duke and his one liners and I am very satisfied.
While it's basically no help at all, practice is really the best answer. Also look up combo videos.
You say you use Scorpion, right? Don't give your opponent any downtime. The way I play Scorpion is to just punish the hell out of my opponent and never give him a chance to relax and figure out what his next move is. A lot of Scorpion's moves are easy to pull off and quite punishing if they connect, so long as you use them right. If your opponent is blocking, do his Hellfire. It's unblockable. Never teleport if you know your opponent is just going to block it, it leaves you open for 3-4 seconds and is a complete waste of your time. Try learning to teleport mid combo, and work on your reflexes to teleport when your opponent throws out an attack that leaves them vulnerable(like Sub-Zero's freeze move or Kitana's fan throw). The sweep kick(Back+Circle/B) is incredibly useful and at times a better thing to use than a highly damaging combo, especially if you know your opponent will block it.. As Scorpion, if you're going to pull off his X-Ray, do it after you connect with his Spear. Drag them in with it and immediately throw off your X-Ray, it's nearly impossible miss, if not entirely impossible. Also remember you can chain special moves into combos; instead of Square/X x3 or something, do it twice, throw in a spear, then keep going and end with his tackle kick move thing.
